The cafe was closed when we went - quite late in the day. The bookstore, however, was wonderful! Quite a wide selection and well identified by genre for a small store. I even found a book that was not available at home that I had been looking for!

One of the last local book retailers in Norfolk, for that matter the area. You just cannot find bookstores like Prince anymore. So right now I am willing to tell everyone that a half star bump for local is warranted. Located in the Waterside area of Norfolk in a building that suits it well. Beautiful brick with nice architectural features,... More

My 6 yo daughter and I love to read and I also have a love for beautiful books in general. We happened to walk by this store and couldn't help but stop. It was lovely inside and they had a great children's section and a good adult inventory! Prices were reasonable. And on the day we were there, the store... More

With the modern introduction of e-books and commercial-type stores, like Barnes & Nobles, the old fashion feel of a bookstore is fading. Although Prince Books & Coffeehouse may seem small, it is perfect for an independent bookstore. The shelves were arranged in an "easy-to-find" manner and I quickly found my favorite sections where I began getting lost in the books.... More

This is a small local bookstore in a beautiful historic building. Carrying the latest selection of best sellers, etc. Has a small cafe so you can get a cup o'joe or a light lunch/snak.Lots of comfy chairs. Nice children's section. if you have the time stop in for a escape. Support a local merchant.

I was really there more for the bookstore, but I had a cup of coffee and saw lunch being served. I like visiting and supporting the few local bookstores that are still around. If you find yourself in downtown Norfolk, skip the Starbucks this time and visit this place for coffee, snack, and a book or two.
