This restaurant can be pricey but we have never had a bad meal hear and it was always imaginative. We arrived just as the rain started so none of the outdoor seating would have been appropriate. There were just a couple of others dining when we came in. They ate and drank at the bar. We were not in a... More

Went for lunch; a little pricey but very good food and wine. Service was good. Menu a little limited but varied.

Warm and sunny just yelled brunch and since moving here we have thought about, but never tried the Green Onion. No room for us outside but inside this eclectic place is fine. A bit on the rustic side but they were very busy and still we had the most delightful waitress. I ordered the sidewalk chalkboard special and my husband... More

After hearing good things about the Green Onion me and my family of four were very underwhelmed. Great location, but meals were nothing special. I would not return on a Sunday warm winter day. Staff could not handle a steady lunch crowd. Took 45 minutes for our $70 worth of basic food to make it to the table. Won't be... More

It is rare to find fine dining in Ghent, but the Green Onion offers that. Their menus is small, but their food is consistently good. If you come in with a larger group, sometimes the wait staff isn't willing to reconfigure the tables, but I think it really depends on who meets you at the door.

The patron has a choice of tables inside, a bar, sofas, or outside. It's a good place for lunch of just a coffee or glass of wine.

This is a great location with one of the best outdoor service. The food always has flair and surprises with spice combinations. All service is outstanding. It's relatively small and intimate. There is always the ability to talk to your party. Parking is doable but may take effort. It's great for a night out.

touches of Frenchness is really nice, and their lobster rolls can be great. Mussels are good and portions enormous for sharing

I don't remember the name of the appetizer, but it had goat cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil, and a balsamic glaze. F A N T A S T I C ! All four of us got a different sandwich - the Cuban was the favorite of all of us. There was one with a Surrey ham that was too salty. The... More

There are always great "foodie" options at this Colley Avenue staple. The wine list is also full of hidden gems. Go early for company and ambience, though, as for some reason this does not seem to be a late evening place, even though it's open late.
