Excellent food and ambiance, family run resto. The best authentic and genuine experience in Porto, big and fresh portions, and very fair prices! We were 5 people, came 2 nights in a row for dinner, it was just the best. Depending on how hungry you are, I highly recommend: seafood soup, grilled octopus in garlic souce and of course some... Do not eat here if you mind being very close to other diners. We happen to like this arrangement and became very friendly with the Brazilian couple who were seated right next to us. The restaurant was busy when we went at lunch time so service was slow but this is why we like dining in europe. I can only... More

I've just been to Porto and went here twice and it was great on both occasions. We tried to get into Graham's Port Lodge but it was fully booked plus it is pricey and as we were hungry we ended up here just by chance. The food was lovely, cheap and with big portions! The wine is also damn cheap... More

The place's got a great family atmosphere with an amazing service. The food we ordered (mainly seafood rice and meat) was tasty and fresh. It was the last place we've visited in Porto and so it was unfortunate we couldn't revisit.

My wife and I went to this restaurant that was recommended to us as a typical portuguese family restaurant. We decided upon the menu do dia; pork and clams and a hamburger steak cooked rare covered with a slice of ham. The portions were very large although much of the plate was comprised of rice and chips. It was a... More

This may have been our best meal in Porto. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but definitely worth it. Very large portions of fresh fish. Very reasonable prices and friendly service. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is family run on the waterfront on the port houses side. The service is fabulous and really friendly - it was our first night and a great introduction to the fabulous people. We ordered starters - the star of the show was the little hot samosas - and the wine - at 8 euro a litre - and... More

Family owned, traditional Portuguese restaurant with very good food and huge portions at small prices. Not the best looking/comfortable restaurant in the world, but who cares...

This is a family owned, traditional Portuguese restaurant. The owners are simple, honest, kind and welcoming people. The food is tasty and generous. They will not let you order too much as they don't want you to waste money or their food. You feel totally at home. Sr. Adão and his family treat everyone the same, be it tourist or... More

We came here for lunch. We were tempted by one of the places with outside seating and a river view, but instead decided to go for the better food. This place was clearly quite authentic and was packed with locals and tourists alike. There was a small wait, but once we got in we were not disappointed. Friendly service (it's... More
