This is a lovely restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere. We just had a main course each which was beautifully presented. We were even offered a taste of a special local olive oil. The service was impeccable.

Mid October this year we had lunch at this restaurant and the menu had great choices, food was mouth watering and service was exceptional was. In our two week tour of Portugal and Spain we had lunches and dinners in many big and small cities. El Seco was our number 1.

We rocked up at 15:15 for lunch and that was no problem at all. Service didn't speak much English but she could make herself understandable and all the menus were in English. The service was good and the food amazing. Perfect place to sit down and relaxe for a while.

The El Seco offers a great range of dishes -0 the majority of which are North African/Eastern Mediterranean themed. The menu selection is excellent offering dishes to suit most tastes. One of the specialities of the area is Perdiz (Partridge) - I opted for this as my main course. Fresh and juicy - fantastic. Well done chef !!! Would definitely... More

This place has a positive review in the Rough Guide as a better than average option but I have to disagree. My wife and I visited during lunchtime this spring and things could have been better. When we arrived there was a massive party, thankfully finishing up. With two members of staff it was stretched. We had to pursue the... More

This was a recommendation from a good friend in Madrid- and had a mention in our guide book. We chose cheese and partridge salad for starters followed by partridge and trout for main. The cheese was good but nothing else to write home about- and both main courses were in fact too salty and the fish drowned in a sauce.... More

We had the daily special: 15 Euros for 3 courses, beverage and dessert included. We had "andrsjos" and "grañones" for our first course, both are typical stews from Úbeda and they were delicious. Our second course was codfish with a tomato and vegetable sauce...very good. Price/quality was excellent. Friendly service.

On a sidestreet in the old city area of Ubeda, we enjoyed the informal and relaxed atmosphere of El Seco. We had a late and leisurely lunch. The menu was not budget, but not expensive. We had fun trying to translate the menu into English and not every item was quite what we expected, but it was all delicious.

At one time during our visit to Ubeda and surrounding towns, we looked around for a place to eat lunch. Our list of restaurants selected from tripadvisor opinions, included "La Tintorera", "La Imprenta" and "Asador Santiago". We took a look at them and we did not find something enticing in their menus. The day before we had eaten at "Taperia... More
