About
The restaurant is located in a 400 year old stone house, just off the main square, amidst a labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets. The unique stone facade has been maintained and the simple subtle interior blends perfectly with the rustic style of the building. Seating around 40 with 18 inside and a candle lit terrace outside seating 22 . Onwards and choose from a menu based on simple flavours and personal taste, with an innovative twist in an unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere, all our wines are from the islan.

We booked into this small 18 cover restaurant a couple of days earlier as walk ins are simply unlikely.
The service from the front of house owner in this family run restaurant was both welcoming and professional. She seated us and explained how her partner, the chef, would be out shortly to explain the menu personally.
The limited, 4 starters and 3 mains were expertly and enthusiastically explained, enabling us to choose our meals.
The quality was amazing and we all agreed by far the best meal of our 11 day visit to Mallorca. It was a relatively expensive meal but the quality made it more than worthwhile.
The wine choice was also lovely and the 4 deserts, of which we sampled all of them, was exceptional.
The meal felt like a top quality tasting menu, from the bread, garlic butter and taster tuna tartar to the imaginative deserts, it was all devine.
We thoroughly recommend a meal here and especially if it's a special occasion.

We enjoyed a memorable experience al fresco at this restaurant. The place is owned and operated by a lovely young couple - Peter Toth is the Chef and Milena is the front of the house and server, we enjoyed learning during our time there.
Small menu ( changes every week ) but everything was delicious, from amuse bouche to homemade bread and excellent mains.
Small restaurant - booking in advance to get a table outside, located on a cute street just off the main square in quaint Fornalutx.
Highly recommend!!!

What an excellent little gem, we were travelling with our adult children and their partners and enjoyed our first meal so much that we returned for our last evening together.
The menu is reassuringly small so you know that everything is fresh and is changed each week - 4 starters and 3 mains. My husband, who prefers not to eat meat, was pleased with his options- as were we all. The menu is very imaginative, for example the first time I had a savoury pane cotta to start and it was delicious. Each dish is as stylish as its surroundings and that together with the charming couple who own/run the place makes for a very enjoyable evening. I highly recommend that you book as there aren't many covers and wouldn't want miss the opportunity to dine here!

This is a small, family run restaurant where the chef husband cooks and his wife waits tables, handles the bar, recommends wines, and manages the bookings. They are formidable team and great care goes into all aspects of your dining experience. Many of the fruits and vegetables served come from their garden and they strive for local ingredients all the while turning out spectacular meals.
The menu changes weekly and the night we were there, they had 5 starters and 3 mains. We tried 4 of the 5 starters, including the fish and prawn dim sum, the beetroot soup and a veggie dish with fresh mushrooms. The dishes were all wonderful. By the time we got around to ordering our mains, the vegetarian option was sold out (which was too bad because it looked amazing), so we opted for the skate (manta ray) fillet done with lettuce hearts and accompanied with an almond sauce. Days later, I’m still thinking about the flavours.
We do intend to return and sample their new menu next week.

We absolutely loved our meal at Cafe Med. The female owner is so attentive, she took the time you explain all the dishes, the stories behind some of the produce and wines and no pressure to eat / drink more than we wanted to. We had three gorgeous starters and a glass of wine each and it was all divine. They have made a real gem here - so thoughtful and beautifully executed. Highly recommend as it's worth every penny

Amazing! We did certainly not expect first class dining in a small village like this. Based on ingredients from the own garden this chef creates miracles. Refines tastes and alit of vegetarien dishes comined with a very nice service.

As many people have said, the proprietors of this are passionate about food. This is self-evident when you visit, both in the quality of meals and the enthusiasm in which they are described and presented.
My wife and I had a starter and main course each and shared a dessert. The taste of every course was simply superb. The dishes often pushed the boundaries of which constituents might be considered to work together, but work they did!
A truly excellent experience to savour.

We were recommended by friends, who used to live on the island, to try Cafe Med in Fornalutx. I was so pleased to have made a reservation for my partner and me on his birthday. Lunch was simply superb. The restaurant is owned and run by a charming young couple who could not have been more attentive. They obviously take enormous pride and care in sourcing all the ingredients, either home grown vegetables, fruit and herbs from their garden in the village or locally sourced fish etc. and all cooked by Peter. The restaurant is situated in the centre of this most beautiful and historic mountain village. There are only a few tables so do book in advance. The menu is quite limited which is a good sign as it usually guarantees freshly cooked food. It was difficult to make a decision as everything on the menu was appealing. Melena talks you through the choices with a blackboard brought to your table. Everything we chose was super delicious and we could not have made a better choice to celebrate.

We had a lovely evening sampling the 5 course menu. We got the best of the A la Carte menu for the week, which is changed weekly to reflect the produce of the season. The taste combinations have been well thought through.
It not a classic Mallorquin restaurant and should not be compared as such to the other well established restaurants in the village that also offer excellent options.
Great experience sampling the creations coming from the kitchen with great service.
Will happily return on our next visit. If you like your food, this is definitely worth a visit.

We have eaten in several top notch restaurants and this is up there with the best. Loved the limited menu, loved the story behind each dish but more importantly every mouthful was worthy of Michelin star. The cucumber and ricotta, the fresh bread, aĺiola, veg crudités and the buffalo mozzarella and pumpkin starters were well presented and delicious. The cannelloni and beef mains wow I can't praise the dishes enough. Also the small refreshments in between the starters and main definatelly cleansed the pallet. Oh did I mention the service gold star all round. We would have loved to stay and linger over starters but the last bus timings didn't permit. If your staying in Fortnaluxt you must go. If you are staying outside take the bus you won't regret it. Best meal so far in Soller area.

This small restaurant is run by a couple who know what they are doing and do it well. Comfortable and efficient warm environment. The food is much better than the average in this town of mostly tourist cafes. Very nice - we went twice in our week here. Small menu - a fish, a meat and a vegan. Appetizers a good selection! Drinks and wines good choice. Expensive for the area but worth it!

Delicious! What a pleasure and immense treat to have this talented couple go to every effort to want to give you a culinary feast that delivers intelligent creative flavour with best quality home grown ingredients. Attention to detail served with discrete gentle charm. It was a special evening of total yumminess! Oh and everything is joyous but by the way our dessert of strawberries on a puffy cloud of almond cream topped with a scoop of white chocolate ice-cream was heavenly…..time stopped whilst devouring that dish!

We visited the restaurant last night as a result of looking on trip advisor
Lovely restaurant we were welcomed and offered drinks my husband tried the local beer which was lovely
Great choice of starters mains and sweets using local grown produce and most from their own gardens the bread and alioli was amazing. The food was amazing
Fantastic experience. Seating inside and out lovely small town. Car park locally free after 7 pm

started with the tomato and burratta salad and it literally brought tears to my eyes — I’ve never tasted anything so special and pure and beautiful. An experience I’ll remember forever. I would have paid 5x over for that dish alone.
Pasta also great but unfortunately had to follow that tear-jerking starter!

This was our second visit to this restaurant and whilst the name may not signify top quality this establishment delivers way above it's weight.
The owner chef explains the menu, that changes weekly, before bringing bread and tasty natural nibbles before our mains. The quality of all the food is exceptional, a cut above the many other restaurants we have eaten at over the many visits to the island.
The food and drink is all local and delicious. It's not the cheapest meal you'll have but it'll be amongst the best dining experience you'll have.
Tip.....book a table otherwise you might be disappointed.
