We arrived at 8.25 for an 8.30 booking, no one showed us to our table, just pointed over there somewhere. Already getting a sinking feeling. Starters ordered and great, so far so good. One hour and ten minutes later our main course arrived. Not as...described, some useless excuse about the gas not working, no explaination or apology given . Just rubbish really, don’t bother.More

Top food, top service. If you are lucky enough to engage with the two owners you are in for a treat. We came across this restaurant by chance - not to be missed. One of our holiday highlights!

It was a nice experience. People are very nice, food was ok, a bit expensive. Sangria was the best of what I tested so far. I recommend it!

The fancy restaurant provides a very good food in an elegant atmosphere. The food is great especially paella and the pork steak with apple sauce. Recommended for families or romantic dinners. Not cheap but it worth it

Our first visit-we only popped in for a tapa, but the owner advised us on food, wine, tasters & our order. It was really good fun; we tried dishes we probably wouldn’t have thought of, sampled really good white wine, added black salt & amazing...oils to our bread & the olives were amazing. The lamb livers traditional Mallorcian dish was amazing & their home made bread, delicious!More

Amazing little gem on a backstreet. All tapas were fantastic and genuine. As a family of five with different preferences we all left happy and well fed!

We eat here twice so this is a fair opinion. The food is exiled to if a little pricey. However the wine is a con - it just gets offfered no prices mentioned and you end up paying €36 for an average Rioja. The service...is almost non existent- short staffed and unfriendly.More

Nice enough surroundings but without the sea view beachfront location that some of the restaurants in Peguera offer… strange that the wine prices in El Galeon are so much more expensive than the premium ‘front line’ restaurants in the area,. The house wine which was...still pricey was ‘unavailable’ so we had to pay even more for a basic Rueda Verdejo wine which cost about 7 euros more than the premium located beach front restaurants ! No complaints about the food it was fine. Bread and Ali oil and olives were served automatically without asking and were charged for per person.More

At present due to the Covide-19 pandemic most of the restaurants in Paguera are closed. On the evening of 19 Oct we were glad to notice El Galeon open and with a number of diners. What a find! We were warmly welcomed. With some excellent...freshly baked bread and allioli and drinks - our questions about the food were patiently answered. The food was excellent, a wonderful Turbot was fileted at the table, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. We can't wait to return...More

Amazing meal for our final night in Majorca, just wish we had found this gem sooner as we’d go back again and again! We shared 3 tapas between 2 people with a side of fresh bread. the meatballs, bacon wrapped dates, and the host recommended...a local speciality the frito mallorquin. All the food was so fresh and delicious and the hosts were friendly, welcoming and extremely passionate about the food they were serving. Would highly recommend, thank you so much for making our final night so special!More

We had been to the Galeon restaurant at the beginning of 2018 & decided to revisit following their refurbishment. The place is now smaller inside but they have a lot of terrace space for visitors when the weather is good. The owners have created a...cosy atmosphere & are very welcoming. They seem to have a lot of repeat customers. Our meal was excellent. We had warm bread with a gutsy garlic mayonnaise & olives to start. We then shared some crispy prawns with chilli sauce, baby octopus & green peppers. Two of our party opted for pork fillet, one had salmon & the others the seafood paella. All excellent. Angel appeared with a birthday sorbet surprise with fireworks followed by some chocolates. The two bottles of wine we chose were also excellent. They do know their wines here, our bottle of red was poured with theatrical flair using an aerator. All in all, at 45 Euros per head, a thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime experience. Thank you!More

My wife and I visited El Galeon on our first night in town. We received a really genuine welcome when we walked in the restaurant. The service was first rate and the food was excellent. We opted for the paella which was full of flavour...and a dish we would recommend. I’m sure you will not be disappointed if you go for a meal here.More

For my money this restaurant has become probably the best in the region. Witness people coming from miles around to dine here. The service and the food are as good as my wife and I have had anywhere in Majorca. Booking is a must especially...in early season when everyone wants to sit inside. I honestly can't think of any negatives.More
