This perfectly positioned restaurant sits above the busy waterside of Cadeques and offers an excellent range of fish and other seafoods. Simply the best we've had in Catalan on either side of the Pyrennees.

Too expensiv, not good, the prices on the bill were not the same as on the menu... As I complained the owner replied in a very impolite way. We went there because one of our local friends recommanded this restaurant. Could be locals get a different menu than tourists??? That was the only explanation I can find for what my... More

Dropped in and was lucky to get a table. Super good seafood and for those of us who likes fries - outstanding. 71 euro for two. 4 starters and a glas of white each. Expensive for Spain but view and food worth it. Will come again some day.

I'm surprised at the lower than expected rating for this establishment. Located on the water, you climb up a flight of stairs to get to the dining room. Nestled between two typical cafes and with a great view of the bay, Es baluard is a great family run restaurant with high standards of excellence. The dining room has high arched... More

Having had a very good lunch here last year, came back for dinner this time. We were not disappointed - high quality meal. Beautiful sea view. Good service.

This is one restaurant you have to search for and is well worth the effort! No one sees it as it is located on the second floor overlooking the charming harbor in Port Lligat. Try to reserve one of the 2 window tables for an unforgettable view. Most of the tourist traps serve frozen fish-- not Es Baluard! A local... More

Had dinner there with a friend yesterday. The worse service ever. The waitress wouldn t move the empty plates before I asked her to. The food was bad and very expensive. A typical tourist trap!!! Stay away. I ordered a tuna carpaccio but found out later it was a bonito carpaccio which is a very low quality fish. I ordered... More

First of all the view from the restaurant is beautiful! We had a delicious salad for starters, which was all nice and good... But then came the Paella. The meat was of such a low quality it was just not edible, just bones, tendons and fat. The rice was swimming in a brown salty sauce and hadn't absorbed any of... More

Fabulous service, delicious simply cooked food. Thank you for making our evening memorable. We loved your suggestion of splitting the Snapper and Dorado to compare, they were filleted for us beautifully.

With friends we went to lunch !! Was full August. The service quickly and correctly. The waiters were all stained from the boss to the last !! The food, prawns 6 (placed on the plate, like a bunch) 7 Roman squid, anchovies 9, bread with tomato 10, sole 8, coffee and desserts quietly. Surely there again, but not anything special.... More
