We enjoyed delicious ice cream. Lots of flavors and you can sit on the terrace or inside the ice cream parlour. The prices are very high. I can imagine that a family with children would therefore not visit this business.

Delicious ice cream, friendly service and a nice stop during a bike ride through the Veluwe. After a long bike ride we needed to cool down a bit, at IJStijd they know how to meet this wish. Recommended; ice cream, waffles, sandwiches, coffee, smoothies...just great!

Unfortunately, there is a lot of fly nuisance, something has to be done about that, ladies.
The food was decent, although you wonder why Pepsi Cola is served half-assed. The wasp loved it and dived into my glass. He lay down in the Titanic position, with his head above water and his body submerged. I thought it was fine, but in the end I saved the nuisance animal from drowning, with its black and yellow body ending up on my finger. Fortunately, it was still too numb to sting or perhaps the animal had already stung in the cola, although I could not detect a sting in it (but I decided to leave it anyway). Startled, I blew the wasp off my finger, after which it crawled across the ground towards the curb. But apparently recovered quickly because a little later a wasp circled again above my food and drink, apparently just to thank me for my insect life-saving action, because it disappeared again just as quickly.
Prices really too high, that same afternoon we had a croquette sandwich with Coca Cola in Terschuur for 5.35 euros and a really superior snack (maybe it's because of the baking temperature, which was much higher in Terschuur.

Great ice cream choices. We stopped for dinner and realized that they didn't serve dinner food, so we had waffles instead. A great location to watch all the cyclists ride by.

This place is always well patronised - a tribute in itself. There is a tremendous selection of delicious flavours, including typically Dutch flavours like stroopwafel. The prices are very reasonable, and you can sit on the terrace to eat as well as taking away. An ideal way to spend a warm evening in Garderen - or daytime, for that matter!

Staff and place
I start to say that's a really cool place very cozy, all the staff are friendly!
Now the food
The food wasn't bad but wasn't good also, was average food, we can find that every were, was to expensive for the quality! Also have to say that we payed 2€ for 1liter of tap water, when that should be free every were in the world!

You just can't chooce which flavor too take.....so advice go as often as you can...so chocolate..pineapple...Oreo..snickers..mocca..vanilla ..walnuts..even peanut butter..

Stopped off a couple of times to try a different dessert and never disappointed. Amazing flavours, big portions, good service. Sit outside, watch the world go by slowly in Garderen , knowing every calories you're taking in is WELL worth it !

Dutch ice cream will never have the same quality as some of the top Italian ice creams, but at least this one comes close. These ice cream makers are making optimal use of fresh milk and cream from Dutch cows as well as plenty of other ingredients, resulting in more than 50 different flavors of ice cream. You can take away a cone or a cup, or enjoy your ice cream on the terrace which can get very crowded on sunny weekends and holidays.
