Been here several times always had a lovely meal. Would definitely recommend. This is a very popular Indian restaurant and always busy. Portions a bit on the small side for me especially the rice.

Went last night with a party of 8 after work. It opens at 530 so we booked for 6pm. By 7pm the place was full so best to book ahead so you're not disappointed. The restaurant and bar are very modern and stylish. The food is gorgeous. We jusr had poppadoms with chutneys rather than starters. For mains you can... More

Last night we had dinner at Shajan, with friends. I visited the restaurant after almost a decade. They have expanded it quite a bit and now there is more space for guests. It also has a Conference room. There are adequate parking facilities with a helipad for you to land by helicopter. The place is nice and clean and well looked... More

The food is lovely hot and reasonably priced! Although the service isn't fair. Other tables ordered after us and were given food way before. We tried to speak to a member of staff but he didn't speak much English. I think that the restaurant tend to serve smaller tables and regular customers better than groups.

Me and my partner go at least once a month and we always enjoy our visit. Food is always tasty and hot and the service is excellent. Prices are very reasonable and we wouldn't go elsewhere when we're over in blackburn. Well worth a visit if you've never tried it and would thoroughly recommend dining here

We offer authentic, quality Indian Cuisine in Blackburn, Lancashire. Established in 1992 we have an unrivaled reputation for both quality and customer care. Whether you're looking for a venue for your next special occasion or quality Indian food - you'll always find a fast, friendly service waiting for you.Set in the picturesque Ribble Valley the Shajan is an award-winning restaurant. It started off as a small business holding only 96 customers. However its popularity lead to its gradual expansion over the years and it is now able to accommodate up to 205 customers. The restaurant itself is split into 3 rooms enabling it to cater for private parties and large functions without losing its intimacy or atmosphere. Its modern decor, luxurious setting and spacious car park have attracted a wide range of customers including celebrities, some of which arrive in helicopters. The chefs' come from all over South Asia, so the restaurant is able to offer a varied cuisine, and the large number of regular South Asian customers is a testament to the foods authenticity. We believe the restaurant's reputation is our best accolade as it is built purely on word of mouth. The Shajan's emphasis on quality, customer service and above all its continual drive for improvement, have all lead to its success.
