Don't expect false beaming smiles and an insincere 'have a nice day', do expect good honest food and drink in a proper English pub.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. What we are about in one sentence - perfect !!
Booked for a table of 12 and were lucky to have the restaurant area to ourselves - the whole experience was fantastic - it was a surprise lunch treat for my Dad's birthday and because we had that area, I was able to bring him...More
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are so pleased your Dad had a memorable birthday lunch - it was so thoughtful to arrange a surprise for him !! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
This pub survives because it has the right blend of staff, customers, beers and food. From the moment when you enter from the pretty tidy front garden or from the large beer garden at the rear you step into a darker interior laced with a...More
Have not had a Sunday lunch here for some time but have eaten hear in the evening, and always had great food. So it was no surprise to be served with a "Great beef roast" with all the trimmings, 3 fresh veg + roasties and...More
Many Thanks for taking the time to review The Foresters. I'm glad you enjoyed Nick's Roast - we hope to see you again soon !!
First time visit with the family and fortunate to be able to enjoy Sunday lunch in the beer garden. Children's menu crowd pleasers well executed and good portions. Adult food terrific value, I've had so many over priced mediocre Sunday roasts at posh pubs that...More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you love Nick's food and My ales !!
Years ago we had a Rugby-club tug-o-war team based here. It's a bit more gentrified in the pub gardens now, but indoors tradition rules - excellent beers, friendly owner, sociable staff, and a brilliant Wood Burning Stove in the inglenook fireplace.
Many thanks for taking the time to review us. We are glad you like our little pub !!
My husband, our son and myself revisited The Foresters Arms for an early New Years Eve treat and all 3 of us had the Brunch - absolutely faultless and will definitely be returning once the kitchen re-opens after the Chefs well earned holiday!
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Glad you enjoyed Nick's brunch. He is away now until Feb 16th ( He takes all his holiday in one go at the quiet time of the year!!)
