We visited with friends. On arrival the car park is pretty small, only 1 or 2 left for us. The pub itself is very nice. Great outdoor area. I could see myself sitting outside on a nice night. Inside it is quaint, nice real fire...More

We used to like this restaurant but our last three experiences have all been negative. This time we waited an hour before getting food. Whilst the pie was hot, the mashed potato and veg. were cold. We had had enough and left. On previous visits...More

We went tonight (Saturday) for the Saturday Steak Supper. We have been in a couple of times but only for a drink, as they have my favourite lager, Estrella. The service was excellent, the staff are very attentive and pleasant. We were served by the...More

The friendly and helpful staff were stretched, leading to long waits. Loud, unpleasant and intrusive "background" music made conversation difficult. Food was reasonable. The insistence on hideous brioche buns with burgers is incomprehensible. The mini pavlova was oversweetened goo.

You can' miss it. Travelling from the M56 or Altrincham, it's on the left immediately after a sharpish bend. We went there last Saturday and it was better than ever. Enjoy.

there is no excuse for not answering the phone. But you didn't miss much and there are plenty of better places to eat in the locality.
