Having given this restaurant a bad review some time ago I have now changed my mind. My family and I decided to give the place another try and low and behold it was excellent. The service was far better than I expected and the food...was just perfect. I now as you may have noticed had a change of heart. Please do visit and give this restaurant a try as I am sure you will not be disappointed. To the owner, I would say, bravo! I will as a result of my recent experience return to you time and time again as we used to over many years. Thank you!More

Booked a table for two very last minute last Saturday afternoon, I was told they could do 6pm but we weren’t able to make that so 6.30pm was agreed. We arrived and were greeted by a stone cold lady at front of house which my...friend and I both agreed was not the sort of arrival we would have wanted. We were seated and ordered food very quickly, I went for the the king prawns to start which was £14 and the steak and chips for main which was £28. Paying £14 for three ‘king’ (not much larger than usual) prawns with a tiny dollop of risotto on the side is not what I call a great starter, it tasted fine but was not worth the money. The main then came, a slab of steak on its own on the plate and 5 minutes later a bowl of chips would follow. I would be more than happy to pay at least £28 for a steak in a nice restaurant in London or even locally as I know places in Oxted have beautiful steaks for that price, but this steak looked like it had just been slapped on the grill and thrown onto my plate, it tasted burnt and looked pretty unappealing. Once we finished our carafe of rosé we weren’t offered another, no one topped our water glasses up, nor did anyone check if our food was ok the whole time we were there. When they took our plates away we asked for two espressos and the bill, 10 minutes later I had to remind the waitress who had been avoiding me trying to get her attention, that we hadn’t received either of the two requests. Last but not least, the restaurant was only about 1/4 full when it had reached 8pm so the rush for us having to get there for 6.30pm was pointless. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as the staff are unfriendly and rude and the food is overpriced and below average in taste.More

We had a delicious breakfast in this fabulous local restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming as always. Everywhere is extremely clean and compliant with COVID safety guidelines. This is all achieved without detraction from the friendly atmosphere.

Always top quality food. Lovely friendly staff. A great place to visit and eat. My current favourite is a chicken dish but their chips are tip top. Even their burgers are a cut above.

We have visited this restaurant twice now and each dish we have been served has amazing flavours. This restaurant is a must for real foodies that love food cooked with love. Great service too Very lovely owners. We had a fish pie to share and...fish burger each, as a take away last night and it was divine. We are going to order some breakfast now lol.More
