A local told us about this hidden gem. We had been told that she made the best flan so we initially came to try the flan. She was out but said she would have more flan on Monday. We returned on Monday for the flan and boy was it worth it! Best I have ever had!!! Also, try the garlic... More

This is definitely a local place. It's cash only, and you should expect a wait of 45-50 minutes for food. It may be a bit of a wait, but it's worth well worth it. I recommend a beer or a $4 full glass of wine while you wait (your options are red or white). The owner, Marco, seems a little... More

We like local, regional food, but it's not easy to find. El Caobo is as close as you are going to come to it on Culebra. We heard about this place from a gringo who has lived on the island for the past 2 years. It seats 14 people. You are met by the husband (he gave me 2 different... More

I give such a high rating because of the total experience. A husband and wife run the three table and small bar and restaurant. If you want to be catered to and are in a hurry, this would probably not work. However, if you want to hang out and chat about pretty much anything and feel like you've been transported... More

It is a small restaurant with simple and basic seating arrangements. The owner takes the orders and serves the food while his wife cooks in a little attached kitchen. They have ample choices for drinks. Food menu is not too big as I believe everything is made from scratch once you order. It is fresh. The food tastes wonderful. But... More

So this is truly local - food is good and made to order - one at a time. So come early and be prepared to wait. Prices are reasonable and drinks are cheap. Wouldn't choose it if only here for a day or two as there are lots of better pleases. But if here for while it's worth the stop... More

Inexpensive wine and Medella, and food is fantastic. Just a hole in the wall, but worth checking out. One my more memorable meals on the island. Owner is very nice.

Owned and run by a local couple. You are greeted by the husband and order, then wait 45 minutes to an hour as the wife prepares your meal from scratch in the back kitchen. It is worth the wait. What a cook! The red snapper was in season and oh my how delicious! The garlic chicken, rice & beans, sweet... More

This is a neighborhood restaurant with great food. The place is small and nothing fancy but the service was good and the owner very welcoming! We will eat there again.
