Ordered two coffees - one requested to be extra hot - and two cakes for $25. Cakes were ok but the coffee ...... to describe them as luke warm was an exaggeration - they were one step away from cold. This was "served" by a girl with a face that was so "I dont want to be doing this" that... More

The smoked salmon sandwich was tasty and generous in size. But my partner ordered a bacon sandwich and it was very small, like a child's portion. Had to wait almost an hour to get the food, but this is fine you know before you go.

My husband and I enjoyed good coffee and tasty baking here this morning. But what prompted me to write this review was it was so refreshing to enjoy our morning tea without roaring music/radio. In fact there was no background noise beyond people sounds. It was fabulous. We could talk to each other without shouting. Very unusual these days, but... More

Our friend Lynda was showing us the sights of Martinborough on a day trip from Upper Hutt. We'd tasted wines in two wineries so it was time for lunch. Being mid week, not many places were open but we enjoyed our meals in The Village Cafe. My partner and I selected pasta and a salmon dish, while our friend chose... More

This was our second visit here. We were last here Dec 2015, with our son on a Christmas break, enjoyed it thoroughly so came back again. It was very cool & wet so a lovely bowl of soup was in order with crusty bread, minestrone was fabulous & really hit the spot. You can't leave here without trying one of... More

We stopped on a rainy day in Martinborough and we all had soup for lunch. It was yummy. The art work was an added bonus! Nice big space for lunch. Highly recommended.

Perfect for groups of friends, lots of large communal tables in a rustic but appropriate decor. Nice varied menu challenges you with interesting choices. Service & coffee both good, but not exceptional. Lots of good options in Martinborough & this is a dependable choice.

I've just take a garlic and parmesan pizza but it wasn't so good and it's a little expensive. The cafe has free wifi.
