A family like atmosphere with down home cooking and plenty to eat. The food is balance and cost effective too.

We visited this restaurant in memory of our friend's father who recently passed away and this was his favorite place to eat. We're so glad we stopped in. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. They only offer the buffet on Sunday and it was filled with plenty of amazing options to satisfy our hunger for a very long time! In... More
My wife and I and our son had dinner that afternoon. When we arrived, we found a parking space fairly close. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. We were immediately greeted by our server who took our drink order and shortly after, served our drinks. Dinner was set up as a buffet so it was pretty... More
Every time we've been here it's been for some type of occasion (bridal shower, birthday, etc..). The first two experiences were marred by the fact that we could not choose an entrée due to a fixed menu for a party or Sunday brunch being limited to the buffet. If you do not like buffets, skip Sunday brunch. There's nothing worse... More
My husband and I stop in for dinner periodically. Their meatloaf is the best I've had. It's moist and comes with a tomato gravy that is outstanding. The service is very friendly and the restaurant itself is large and roomy. They also have a dinner buffet, however I think it's a bit pricey.
One does not go to Powhatan VA for fine dining. Choices are limited. We looked at the few places available and choose County Seat which is in the middle of town right across from the court house which I am sure predates the Civil War by many decades. The building is very attractive and nicely maintained. A place for locals.... More
We went here for their breakfast buffet. We got there at around 10:45 AM. and they serve breakfast until 11:30 AM. Fine we thought, plenty of time, right. Wrong!! We went through they buffet line and it was slim pickens! The kicker was as they ran out of breakfast items they brought out lunch items .Everything was very good, just... More
I've passed this restaurant dozens of times and always thought that one day I would check it out. Last Friday I was in the area and stopped in for lunch. The food was good and the service was great. I can't wait to come back and check out their live music or breakfast buffet sometime.
