I ordered two all the way with fries and drink, my son got one naked with fries! Total cost less than $10! Good chili and decent sized dog, served quickly and efficiently! You can't ask much more than that from a hot dog stand!

If you want a classic hot dog like you used to eat, with options of chili, onions (excellent) relish etc, this is your place. Good crinkle cut fries--and that is the menu. Great location on the market.

The Roanoke Weiner Stand have very good hot dogs and friendly service. I also appreciate their French fries. The service was very good and the staff was outstanding. I will continue to frequent The Roanoke Weiner Stand.

So, I've been coming here all of my life. Hot dogs are hot dogs, to some extent, but RWS had character and charm. Lines of people ordered "two with and extra" or "one no" and people like Gus served them up with a smile and a joke. If you wanted burgers or fries, they sent you to McDonalds. This place... More

This is my favorite place for hot dogs. The chili is amazing. I eat there about once a month. The restaurant is clean. They have a friendly staff.

Popped in for a quick lunch (Dog,fries, Coke). As always the food was tasty but as usual the staff was grumpy, unsmiling, and seemed indifferent( if not overtly rude). The are many fast lunch options in downtown Roanoke. Been coming here for 47 years. May be time for a change. Owner needs to take notice.

The menu is limited but the dogs are classic. My dad used to bring them home by the dozen when I was a child and the memory of the taste of their chili keeps me coming back at the age of 70. They haven't changed much but now you can get them with cole slaw or cheese for 25¢ extra,... More

I'm not a hot dog eater but my family is, so we went to the Roanoke Weiner Stand. A long standing icon in downtown Roanoke. My family tells me that the Weiners were average but the french fries were very good. They have recently moved around the corner providing more in house seating but it was too crowded for us... The Roanoke weiner stand has been around since 1916 and in it's old location still had a plaque from the flood of 85 marking water levels along with pictures from years and years of great service. It now has been relocated into the market building across the street, but not to worry it still serves the same quality it has... More

Just passing through Rke and had to stop to enjoy the best dogs and fries in Roanoke. I lived in Rke several years ago and miss this place. You can count on a line but you get served quickly and the staff is friendly.
