This is a great place when you feel like going to a good old fashioned supper club. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make up for the limited menu.

Visited here while on a business trip. The food was ok, but not of a quality I would want to return. The decor is interesting, but the food is so so. Had the prime rib but it was unremarkable. Neither my business partner or I particularly enjoyed our meals that much to want to return.

The Globe and Laurel has been in business since 1968 when founded by a retired Marine Major and his wife. The restaurant is frequented by many of the police officers who come to train at the FBI Academy. Consequently, the memorabilia collection is overwhelming with patches, badges, mugs, flags and so much more given to the Major by those patrons.... More

This Marine/Cop bar/restaurant was a good find for a late dinner while staying in the area. We ate in the bar because it has good clean air - the dining room is adjacent to a cigar lounge and was a little bit smoky. The bartender (an entomologist by education) was a great guy and told us some stories about the... More

We only stopped in for a couple of drinks. Cannot wait to visit the area and go for a nice long dinner. Bartender was awesome.

Worst dining experience ever. Not busy, but took 20 minutes to get menus, 50 minutes to get water. After an hour, a new waitress came out to take our order, saying the original waitress couldn't handle a group! (15, with a reservation). Food starting coming out an hour and 50 minutes after we arrived, but the last meal came out... More

The food was pretty good but the atmosphere was all Marine Corps. The staff was great and I wish I had more time to step into the cigar lounge.

Old, dark and dated. Thought price was a bit high for what we got--most things are ala carte. Limited selection of main courses. Nothing of note on the menu

My wife and I decided to give this place a try. The building looks old and dumpy on the outside, but there were a lot of cars in the parking lot.....that usually means good food. We both got steaks, and they were great. The service was really good. the restaurant was very clean, and while the place is a little... More
