Recently visiting Zynodoa on a Friday night. Don't forget to make reservations on the weekends, they get busy. I got the four course chef's tasting menu with wine pairing and was not disappointed. All four courses were delightful. Great portions and nicely paced service.

Zynodoa is our Favorite Friday night dinner spot in Staunton after a long work week. We get a great cocktail at the bar from our local bartenders then we enjoy a farm to fork dinner. The menu changes based on the season and what is available locally. The manager/owner Jessica, is very accommodating and helpful. Give it a try when... More

This was our second visit here, and the top-notch quality of food and service was just as we remembered. I ordered the spinach salad and country-fried pork chop (served over sautéed red cabbage and puréed sweet potato with a drizzle of balsamic reduction and apples on the side) - beautifully presented and delicious. My spouse had the bean and kale... More

Because of the gushing reviews of this restaurant, my beloved bride and I happened in for supper last night. We didn't have a reservation - it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. We're glad to went, and we wish we had begun going there when it opened ten years ago. My bride describes Zynodoa's ambience as 'New York bistro.' I agree. We... More

Our friends and family planned a weekend together and decided on Staunton a midpoint for all. We had dined at Zynodoa previously on 3 occasions, and had wonderful food. This time the experience was very different, the wait staff is terrific and carried the night. The meal was extremely disappointing, the pork was so fatty you couldn't eat it and the... More

We visited Zanodoa tonight to celebrate our son's recent promotion. The food was excellent, from the roasted broccoli appetizer to the kale soup to the fettuccine with duck. The service was equally good and the decor is pleasant. All in all, it proved to be a pleasant restaurant for our special occasion.

We were an hour early for our reservation and the hostess had no issue fitting us in. We had wine and mixed drinks with our meal consisting of goat fettuccine and a venison that was mouth watering. The oysters appetizer was outstanding and the creamy turnip soup was amazing. This quaint place presented a nice ambiance with nice staff.

I went out of my way to visit this restaurant and was not disappointed. Was there with two friends and everything we tried was wonderful! Some of the dishes we loved were: cornbread, turnip soup, peanut hummus, broccoli. And the desserts are magnifique! Don't miss the salted caramel cheesecake. Our server, Bill, was so helpful and professional. We were tourists... More

Recently my husband and I returned to Zynodoa and were pleased to find that the quality and service continue to be excellent. The restaurant is small and casual, staff is helpful and friendly, and very able to make helpful recommendations. I started with the broccoli appetizer and it was delicious--wonderful sauce, perfectly spiced and a large portion. My husband had... More

We went to Zynodoa after a matinee at the Shakespeare Theatre around the corner. We had great expectations, due to the reviews and that as we favor regionally sourced restaurants, and that may have affected our opinion of the meal. It was good but didn't rise to excellent. My husband enjoyed a rich cauliflower soup. I had fried oysters appetizer... More
