Made a reservation on OpenTable for 9:30 p.m. Arrived around 9:15 and the restaurant was busy but not super. Upon arrival, there was no host/hostess at the checkin station. Waited approximately 10-15 minutes before a gentleman arrived at the desk and asked how many? I'm pretty sure he only showed up because a young man at the bar kept turning... More

Had Thanksgiving dinner here and the offered specials for the holiday were very good and reasonably priced. Turkey dinner had everything you could ask for and plenty of it. Pumpkin ravioli was good too. They fell short on the desserts - pumpkin pie was no better than Mrs. Smiths - maybe it was. The apple pie was better. Service was... More

Great dining experience. Both the raw and grilled oysters were fresh, well prepared, and delicious! I had the short rib for dinner. It was amazing. I would definitely recommend it and plan to return for it again in the future. On the contrary, however, my husband was not happy with the trout dish.

Romantic, private dinner for two. Dining room has fireplace and one is surrounded by multiple murals with an interesting history. Lovely evening with delicious food and excellent service.

Had a business lunch today at Clydes. The staff was helpful in getting us seated and giving us the adequate time to order our food. The steak salad was delicious with slices of steak with lettuce, tomatoes, blue cheese and bacon. The pricing was good as well.

My husband and I had a rare date night and were excited to go out to dinner. We had been to this Clyde's location years ago, and my parents love the one in Alexandria. Although it was a treat just being able to be out together, we were both disappointed with our food. We went on a week night, and... More

This version of Clyde's has been around for at least 30 years and continues to please. The cuisine is "American" with a strong smattering of seafood and steaks. Particularly good are the Crab cakes, as sandwiches or as platters. The brunch offerings are outstanding with a vast array of omelettes and other classic brunch entrees. The Bloody Mary is outstanding.... More

We have over the years visited this restaurant and were very pleased. This time the soups were OK, by two of us had their steak salads and were disappointed. We ordered the steaks medium and medium rare and they both came over cooked and tough. Also, there is a great deal of construction occurring in the area making it difficult... More

Friends organized a surprise birthday party for their mom and it was lovely. Clydes provided a private room and wonderful food. The cheese and fruit were excellent. The hot hor d'oeuvres were even better; loved the chicken skewers, the mini crab cakes and the cheeseburger sliders. And the crowning finish was the spectacular dessert tray.

Slow service, uninspired but better than just edible food in the most throw back 1970's decor possible. This place must shut down and renovate or simply move and try to update the menu at the same time as the decor.
