A good place to get a consistent meal. Nothing special or unique. The BLT I had was really nothing to write about. In fact, I thought about not writing a review at all. The customer service was below average. When my husband went to pay the cashier looked "put out" that we were using our debit card and she grumbled... More

I was in Verona on business and checked out trip advisor for lunch. Went to the Italian place, but you have to order at the counter and wait for food. Decided to try Armstrong's and very glad I did. Great waitress, I had the small chef salad and hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. Real food and real good. Nothing... More

We have passed by Armstrong's a couple of times and decided to try it for Lunch Today. We live in Stanton and this place is just into Verona off Lee Hwy. Quaint old fashion restaurant with great food and friendly staff. I had the special, Pork Tenderloin, Mashed Potatoes and gravy with double helping of green beans instead of macaroni... More

We had breakfast here while traveling through the area. The place is homey and casual. Our service was fast and the food was hot and tasty. We would definitely eat here again. Lots of variety in the customer demographics- older, families, couples, singles. There's a counter that customers can choose to sit at and a tv (they were showing Fox... More

The reason for the average grade is because it had been raining a lot and there was so much standing water on the sidewalk on the front side you could not walk under the awning. You had to step out from under it and walk in the rain. It seems like this could be an easy fix and it's something... More

For years I have heard what a great place this is, so obviously a lot of people like it. Recently, I went. Yes, home-cooked meals, but only if your mom was a lousy cook. Everything was fresh from a can. In June, they had tomatoes so hard and white (I call it plastic) that you could hardly get a knife... More

This place has great food, tastes home cooked. It's a family style restaurant and the waitstaff are nice country folks. The downside to this place is they ONLY take cash. But you will want to stop here if you want a home cooked meal.

Good informal eating with home type meals at reasonable prices, good service. Some days there may be a short wait because it is good and a local favorite.

Rated very good for what it is. Fine dining it is not but good food at a fair price it is. Wait staff friendly. Over the year eat there several times have daily specials that are easy on the budget. Burgers and sandwiches are good. I know the owner he seems to be making improvements. Take it for what it... More

When I dined again at Armstrong's, the service was very much improved. Whereas, I said it was "decent" before, it was exemplary today. Again, a great value!
