Vacationing in Williamsburg, we made it just under the wire for breakfast service, thank goodness we did. The restaurant only uses Edward's ham, which is Virginia ham. This different than NC ham and I'll have to say Virginia ham taste better. They serve Mimosas and Rebal Cocktails for breakfast. Our plates had biscuits and eggs as well. We also shared... More

This restaurant, always a favorite of locals, and known by some visitors, is a mix of gift shop and country cooking. Do not mistake it as a Cracker Barrel knockoff, this is the original. As you wait for a table, you can brouse the store, a mix of the typical, the artisan, and the real antiques. When seated in the... More

We were looking for a place to have lunch before going to Busch Garden's Christmas Town. This was close and had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We did not know we could call ahead, which would have saved us lots of wait time. We were told upon arrival that there was an approximate 40 minute... More

Our favorite place to eat in Williamsburg. We come here 3 or 4 times a year and eat at the "chick house" several times each trip. Very simple menu , but if you like chicken and dumplings , ham biscuits , stew, pie , and sweet tea , you will become a regular! The family atmosphere is so cozy that... More

Call ahead for this old style dinning establishment. It's worth you time to enjoy a bit of history, home style cooking, and great atmosphere. From gift shop to the dinning room time has stood still. Ham and Brunswick stew are both pretty good. Make sure you try the pie

It was a pleasant surprise how friendly and warming the staff were on this cold morning. The food was delightful and filling.

I haven't been to Wmsbg for over 5 years. My wife and I came for an early Christmas experience. Only here for 3 days so had to really limit our restaurant picks. Hurried from DCA so we could get to Chickahominy House in time for lunch. Nothing has changed in over 40 years except the prices. Still have great ham... More

This establishment has been in Williamsburg since the 1970's and I think they are serving the leftovers from that time period. Their claim to fame seems to be their biscuits, but I have to say they were like eating hockey pucks. The food was uninspiring and the shop just another trinket trove.

Excellent Sunday luncheon at OCH. We only waited 15 minutes for a table despite the fact that we had no reservations and it was grand illumination day. Menu is simple but delicious. Homemade flat biscuits and Virginia ham were inexpensive and filling. Quaint southern country house atmosphere. Cute little gift shop attached with many beautiful and reasonably priced ornaments. We... More
