We were refused service on Christmas Eve morning. They were not taking reservations and the restaurant had one family in it. The host told us he had tables reserved for other families that had not arrived yet. Absurd! Don't say you are first come first...More

My wife and I love having breakfast here when we visit Williamsburg. Don't look for fine dining here, but think of something you might have at grandma's house after you have spent the night and get up the next morning. Service is attentive and there...More

This was recommended as a local "go to" place, so we went. It smacks of Southern charm although ON the beaten path of Williamsburg, you can literally go by this place 100 times and never notice it. You enter through a huge door into a...More

Heard about it and decided to try it. The Brunswick stew was worth the trip. The ham and biscuit were also good. Gift shop area had a large selection of unique items.

I really wanted to enjoy my breakfast experience here but I left feeling very disappointed in the food and quite angry about the rude service. We had to wait to be seated for about 15 minutes even though there were plenty of open tables!! I...More

This cute little restaurant and gift shop gives you just what it advertises: a quaint country shop and delicious old school food. Creamed ham, Brunswick stew, homemade pies, flat biscuits with real Virginia ham, and the star of the show, chicken and dumplings like you...More

On a recommendation from several folks, we decided to have lunch here. While waiting for a table we visited the gift shop. The gift shop has some really neat and unusual items. My favorite was the cat! Yes a real one! She was so loving...More

I don't think they take reservations. Go early because it gets crowded quickly.

Looks like you got two good sets of directions. There is also parking on the side street. It is a busy place and only open until about 3 p.m. so don't go late.
