Get great coffee, buns, breakfast & salads and sandwiches. Noisy & full of life! William and Mary students, locals + tourists. Good food & not pricey

Chose to eat lunch here while shopping in Merchants Square and we were very happy we did. The curried chicken salad sandwiches were delicious. I love when a sandwich is served on really good bread and the fruit and nut bread did not disappoint. We both chose the hot Apple cider and it was delicious. The coffee smelled so good... More

We stumbled into this coffee house while looking for a quick breakfast. This is clearly a favorite of the local college town and was extremely busy. The store is small and can be overwhelming to a first time guest. They seem to have an extensive menu of coffees, other hot beverages such as tea and apple cider, pastries, and hot... More

I really enjoyed the coffee here and the menu offered a nice selection of items, which includes breakfast until noon. I tried the pastrami on rye sandwich, and it was good, not the best by any means, but I liked it. The mac-n-cheese with bacon was a big hit with my daughter, and I helped her finish it off, as... Not only does this place have great coffee, it is a fun place to hang out with a friend chatting or people-watching. I also came here for breakfast, and the croissant breakfast sandwiches were great!

It's located a short block from Merchant Square in Colonial Williamsburg. Seating inside and out. You order at the counter and wait for them to call your number. Everything from simple muffins, to breakfast sandwiches and breakfast platters. And, of course, different coffees. No free refills. Very popular with visitors and the college students. Not a lot of room on... More

Very good coffee drinks and pastries, they also serve cooked meals. They could take some lessons from Starbucks about managing service and staff. It is popular with college students who come to study and hold hands. A nice break from nearby tourist shops. High noise level.

WE drove from Virginia Beach, leaving at 6:00 A.M. to arrive at Aromas when they open at 7. We were on our way to hike the Freedom Trail and had to stop at a tried and true coffee shop. Aromas is the real deal. Good coffee, fresh pastries and made to order breakfasts. IF the local profs from William and... More

We've been visiting Aromas every time we visit Colonial Williamsburg. VERY busy at lunch time, but worth the wait. Very popular with the college crowd and a lot of really good choices on the menu. Inside & sidewalk dining. Great coffee!!!
