Very enjoyable meal in a friendly, modern restaurant. With four people, we tried 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. All were excellent, but our favorites were the Foie Gras, the Rabbit with Wild Mushrooms and the Guinea Fowl with parmesan gnocchi. Our server was very friendly, helpful and efficient in taking care of several tables in the full restaurant. Restrooms are... More

I have had pork chops from Mustards Grill, in Napa and The Buckhead Diner and the chops at the Carney were the very best. Cooked perfect. The deserts were outstanding.

Kudos to Tom Powers (Executive Chef) and his staff on a most memorable meal. Truly, if you have the means, then take the time to not miss this place. Special of the night I enjoyed was Seared Grouper, perfectly prepared. For an app, I had their Fois Gras. I could have eaten it all night. Could've had a little bit... More

My wife took me to Fat Canary for my birthday dinner. We had never been there, so we didn't know what to expect. Well, it was a fabulous meal! My appetizer (lobster linguini) was superb as was the salad that my wife ordered. Our main courses (tenderloin for my wife, scallops for me) were done to perfection. About the only... More

Didn't have a reservation so we put our names on the list for their first come first served outdoor seating (on the side of the restaurant, a heated outdoor patio). It was about a 30min wait on a Saturday night but boy was it worth it! Food was phenomenal- service was ok (they may have been short staffed). Will definitely... More

Centrally located within easy walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg buildings and attractions. Consistenly good food. Somewhat expensive. This is our special occasion place to eat.

This is one of the best restaurants in all of Virginia, but even that description does not give it appropriate credit. There is nothing on the menu that is not deeply satisfying and surpisingly delicious. It is top class without the needless stuffiness of restaurants that deliver that experience. Always hard to get into on short notice. It is always... More

Romaine with roasted garlic dressing was very favorable. Fried oysters were a little salty. Grouper special seems to be a regular special looking back at previous reviews. The dish itself was bland over all. The shrimp were well flavored, crab bland, grouper bland, potatoes bland. Filet dinner was average. Asparagus was ok, fried potato fries were stacked. Macadamia torte was... More

This was one of the best restaurants I have eaten! It is surprisingly small in size. The menu is small, selective but outstanding. The wine list is quite extensive and varied. Service from all the staff was outstanding. Everyone was very professional, helpful and pleasant. They took real enjoyment in their work and went out of their way to ensure... More
