We travel a lot, and give out few 5-stars for restaurants. The food has to be exceptional and creative (all courses), the service outstanding, good wine selection, and pleasant surroundings. Happy to say that the Fat Canary was tops in every category. Good wines at...More

I highly recommend that you get a reservation for dinner at this restaurant as it is small and very popular. My friends made the reservation two months in advance and then they called two days before hand to make sure we were still set to...More

I was in town for a W&M event, and I needed a solid, meal with wine (that wasn't a tourist chain trap). I hit the jackpot. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate me though I was cutting it close to last seating....More

We had a great dinner at the Fat Canary on our first night in Williamsburg. We shared the Tuna appetizer which was served with avocado. Most Ahi Tuna I have eaten has sesame seeds on it but this had a delicious wasabi crust. We took...More

Fat Canary is an exceptional restaurant - and will offer you a variety of options. Anything you select will meet the highest standards. It is not a steakhouse - I’m in Bangalore and jet lagged. My last response was confusing. More

This high-energy bistro took over as Williamsburg's best restaurant as soon as it opened in 2003. The sophisticated but relaxed dining room has an open kitchen, which uses fresh, local ingredients for its creative American fare. The dining bar and seasonal outdoor patio seating are on a first come basis. Reservations for the dining room are recommended and may be made up to 2 months in advance. Open daily for dinner, a hostess is available during the day to take reservations.
