We stopped overnight in Winchester and asked the hotel clerk for a suggestion; we wanted fresh and healthy food. She suggested the Village Square. The bar was full and the restaurant empty so we wondered why no one was eating - but went in anyway. SO glad we did. While the menu features fine dining, our interest was captured by... More

We walked in without reservations on a busy Saturday and were seated in one of the smaller rooms which was fantastic for us. We were celebrating my mother-in-law 's birthday. They were able to accommodate my children( 8 &10 )with a flat bread and fries which was appreciated as I did not know they did not have a kids menu.... More

Although a resident of the area, this was the first time that I had actually had dinner at Village Square. From the moment you enter the door, you feel like you've taken a step back in time. The beautiful historic building sets the perfect atmosphere for a great dining experience. An excellent menu led to one of the best fine... More

Wonderful food and wonderful service make Village Square a must stop for any couple. We started with Oysters on the half shell. Well done. Our main dishes were Pan Seared Verlasso Salmon with an unbelievable risotto, and a surprising Mixed Grill. The Mixed Grill comes as a surprise as to the combination of grilled meats so there is added interest... More

The food here is very good. The place is charming and the service is good. The quiche as it's supposed to be, not overbaked and solid as in most restaurants. We've eaten here a couple of times and if we lived closer we'd be back often.

We went for the Sunday brunch and were disappointed. It is a fair deal for 3 courses and drinks but the food is very bland. We started with the caesar salad which was very tasty. The country fried steak was a huge disappointment. It was very small and unbelievably tough. We had to saw with our knives and really made... More

Went there on Saturday evening with another couple and loved the atmosphere of the old building. Hubby and I split the Caesar salad and I had the Filet Mignon with Bernaise. It was absolutely wonderful, cooked just the way I ordered it and the Bernaise just topped it off. Although there are not many options on the menu I am... More

Went for Sunday brunch this past weekend. It's more of a savory brunch - you start with a soup and salad rather than standard breakfast fare - but it was all very tasty. Service was excellent and attentive without being overbearing. The all you can drink mimosa/bloody mary bar was nice - but a bit of a pain to get... More

My girlfriend and I made a reservation for Sunday brunch bottomless mimosas. I was brought the incorrect entree from what I ordered. I understand this happens sometimes, I am easy going, and do not get upset. But then I noticed the new plate, although having the correct benedict, still had the incorrect side dish from what was written on the... More
