Lovely date with the hubby accompanied by two finely prepared, wonderfully aged ribeyes and well-shaken martinis. If this doesn't stoke the flames well the you are doing it wrong. Do not miss this opportunity, you are worth the investment.

The food is great, if you love steak and really don't care what it costs then this place is a good one to check out. Tucked underneath Microsoft's headquarters. Great place to take a client, if you wan to feed them well. Wine selection is amazing.

Great food and service but I was disappointed with the wine list. Not that there were not lots and lots of choices, but the vast majority of the wines were several hundred dollars a bottle, if not over one thousand. Tucked away on the list might be found one or two bottles for $80, maybe one or two at about... More

Steaks during dinner hours are a bit pricey for what you get, but the Happy Hour is fantastic. No steaks on the menu, but the burger is divine. Large enough for two to share and oozing with juiciness, bacon and all the fixings. Other items on the menu are a similarly great value as is the wine/beer by the glass.

This place is interesting- it is competing with Daniel's and El Gaucho, and I think it places third, and here's why: their ambiance is sexy, the food can be good, and so can the service, but the food is unpredictable and the service can be pretentious! We've had steaks come out at widely different temperatures on different nights and I... More

This place has been a routine restaurant haunt for us for over 8 years, until recently ordering the staple 1/2 lb hamburger resulted in the ho 'hum'burger. The original Howie bacon burger ,1/2lb paddy, would more than satisfy the large bun and toppings. Now the burger is barely a 1/4lb and shaped to fit the original oversized bun. The amusing... More

Went for late night happy hour - not really good value at all. A couple of $$ off drinks and food and that's about it - 2 wines each and 2 apps - $100...not a very happy hour.

My fiancé recommended that we eat dessert here after eating dinner. The desserts were delicious. Now I want to try eating dinner here.

I don't eat land animals so it might seem funny to give a review of a steak house. However, my son is a meat-eater and for special occasions I treat him here (his high school graduation June 2010 and his 25th birthday Feb 2017). Because the seafood choices aren't great (and I don't understand why ahi tuna nor halibut don't... More

I must say in advance I do not eat red meat. I was not impressed though. We went for happy hour and had the pork chops (tasted like liquid smoke), fried bacon (all batter no bacon) the truffle fries (not very hot or fresh) hubby had the burger (he said seastars happy hour burger is better) I wasn't impressed at... Description
John Howie Steak - a downtown Bellevue favorite. Located in the Bravern near 405 (freeway) off of 8th Ave. A great happy hour with a near famous cheeseburger, bar and lounge open till 11pm or midnight. Fine dining in the dining room. Lunch is quite reasonable ($12-$15 entreees) and delicious. Premium steakhouse for lunch meetings, dates or of course any occasion for dinner. Private dining rooms available as well. Catering available. A fine dining restaurant with more casual options for lunch, happy hour, the bar and lounge.
