Has been my favorite Mexican food in Bellingham for over a decade now! I have my staples, and they are always good. Salsa bar and unlimited chips make it extra enjoyable. Service is always VERY fast! It's one of just a few places I can get in and out in a half-hour (in the afternoon). Atmosphere is colorful and uplifting.... More

I hadn't eaten here in a long time, and I won't let that happen again! I really enjoyed my meal, the chips & salsa, the fast service, and the reasonable price. Homey atmosphere, comforting tastes, plenty of flavor.

When Taco Lobo first opened food flavor was bold, rich, and exquisite. Tortillas were hand made with a wooden press. Over the years, the high quality of ingredients seem to have been replaced by less flavorful alternatives, e.g. Standard cheddar substituted for savory Mexican cheese; thick guacamole replaced by a thin, tasteless, green concoction; standard rice and beans lackng unique... In Bellingham, if Mexican cuisine is your quest, well, your quest is at an end! Satiate your hankering for South-of-the-Border at Taco Lobo. It's not just the handmade tortillas - personally, I like beans (I know, TMI...): The refried beans are delicious and just like Mama used to make - assuming I wasn't a gringo and Mama wasn't born in... Saw the menu on trip advisor showed halibut tacos. Arrived and saw tilapia taped over the halibut and not a sit down restaurant. Order three specialty taco combo and couldn't believe what little food I got for 12.95. It was ok though cause it was so bland I was over it. Too pricey for a stand at the counter and... More

Taco lobo is Best I've tried besides Mexico or Los Angeles. Hands down, if you're in the Canadian side, this place is well worth the drive! I pass through Bellingham usually every couple weeks and has no clue this little gem even existed!!! Very clean and the portions are massive. I love how the lunch specials end at 4pm!! You... More

Small authentically decorated with authentic mexican food. Had a pork pineapple burrito and chicken enchilado that were excellent. Free chips and a great salsa bar where you can really customize your topping. Not fancy, but real silverware and someone to clean the table after you were done. Great alternative to greasy or fast food fare.

I've eaten here dozens of times and this is the spot I meet friends for lunch. It's reliable and delicious and not your usual Mex-American place. The sopas and the enchiladas are my favorite.

Enjoyed a couple of recent lunches here as an alternative to some of the "greasy spoon" alternatives in this part of downtown Bellingham. The restaurant seems to be a hybrid of a taco truck and a sit down restaurant as far as atmosphere goes. You order your meal at the register where they hand you your free chips and soda... More
