Four of us arrived about 7:45 pm and it very quiet. Of course, it was Sunday and had been raining most of the day, making it not the most pleasant day to be out. We ordered Carna Asada (two of us), Tacos Al Pastor Carna, and Pollo A La Cazuela. All meals were served quickly--the portion are very generous and... More

You can never really tell, especially with Mexican restaurants, what to expect when looking at the outside. In this case a humble exterior in no way hinted as to the excellence inside. We were part of a large group of I guess 25 - 30. We had a very complicated set of arrangements for who was paying for which people,... More

You could be in any one thousands of Mexican joints when you walk in here. The ambiance is stereotypical. I splurged (relatively speaking, in the context of this restaurant's menu) and ordered the lamb fajitas. It came from the kitchen on a sizzling iron plate -- a showy display which guarantees nothing, aside from the fact that the platter itself... More

It's nice to have this restaurant so close to us. We live in Canada and cross the border just to come here since there isn't a lot of Mexican restaurant choices on this side of the border. Service is quick and friendly. The food is good

I've been wanting to try this place for years as I pass by frequently. It's past reviews from friends that encouraged me to try it out as admittedly the optics walking past aren't overly enticing. I love Blaine, a pre or post dinner sunset walk here turns an " I'm too tired to cook" night into a date night. Drinks... More

We come here quite frequently from north of the border, where they don't know how to do Mexican. Paso's is a treat for us Canadians. The servers are friendly, and the food is Mexican (not Tex Mex). And the quality of the food they serve up is always consistent Having said that, the food really is only strictly average. You... More

On a cold rainy day we visited Paso del Norte for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The salsa with the chips was well above average for this area. Menu selection for lunch was very good, although we both stuck with our favorite enchilada plate lunch. The chicken enchiladas were very meaty and there were plenty of refried beans... More

This is a jewel in Blaine. It is a large restaurant with a separate bar area. The food is always good. And their menu of authentic Mexican and local TexMex is extensive. Even offering a limited north American menu like burgers and fish and chips. Lots of specials. Free pool all day. Occasional live music. Happy hour is 4-6 everyday... More
