This restaurant is in a hotel, and they don’t expect a lot of folks coming from outside. They were understaffed the Friday night we visited and there was a long wait for a table despite the place only being about half full. The wait was...More

Great place to have dinner. It is all very high-end food. Everything was locally sourced, just such a beautiful place to eat. It is a little expensive, so maybe go as a couple, not a family. But if you have the money it is very...More

Go often and trying something new each time. The burrata is wonderful, as is everything else on the menu. Enjoy the view, the wine and especially the food. The mussels and chorizo are fabulous. The clam chowder on a cool evening is an excellent choice.

Hi Susan, I just moved here from Seattle, where I still work part-time as a cook for On Safari Foods catering. I was delighted to discover that fine dining is alive and well at the Camano Island Waterfront Bistro! (Even better, that it's less than a mile from my house, which would make for a VERY short commute indeed if I were to be able to find work in the Waterfront Bistro's kitchen...) I did call a couple weeks ago in this regard, and am not sure if I spoke with you? The woman who answered the phone wasn't terribly encouraging, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it another try. FYI, I have over 12 years' experience in the food & beverage industry, having owned and operated my own award-winning* restaurant, Cafe Bleu, dba The Personal Chef, in Delaware. I relocated to Seattle three years ago after closing the business and selling my home there. I studied, albeit informally, under the tutelage of a James Beard Foundation chef, and completed a culinary arts course at Polytech Adult Education. The rest of my training has mostly been self-taught, roll-up-your-sleeves in nature. I'm simply an unrepentant foodie who loves to cook and would welcome being considered for a part-time sous chef position alongside Chef Jason & staff. That's my story. Let me know if an interview might be arranged. Thank you, Margaret M. *News Journal Critics' Choice: Delaware's Best Kept Secret
