If you are looking for a Mexican treat while you are on the island then this is your place. The service is generally very good and never a bad meal. Marguerite's are outstanding

I've lived on Orcas for 3 years and have avoided Chimayo in the day - primarily because if I wanted to bus my own table I'll just stay home. I've had Sazio's in the evening and it is quite good - quality ingredients and attention to detail. Staff was friendly enough, place is clean, price is OK if you don't... More

We found our favorite lunch place on Orcas also turned out to be the best deal. Quality ingredients and pretty big portions. We had the nachos, enchiladas and soup of the day. Delicious! Staff was friendly and it was busy so I'd get there earlier rather than later. We went on a Saturday and a Tuesday and both specials of... More

Chimayo is an awesome tiny place that will give you a giant amount of food for the best prices. It is more tex-mex (which is delicious) than "authentic Mexican", and it is a tiny place and the wait times for food can be long during lunch rushes. I have had several meals at Chimayo and it has turned into one... More

The food at Chimayo is rather tasteless. The ingredients of my tacos were high quality, but the blandness could not be overcome by added salt and sauce. My wife's salad was soaking wet and thus also underwhelming. Wine is marked up substantially more than at other restaurants on the island. Friendly folks, though.

The service was good and the food was prepared with fresh flavorful ingredients. We had the tacos and shared a side of rice and beans for an excellent lunch.

We were drawn in by the outward charm and were overwhelmed by the staggering inefficiency of the operation. There were three appatent diots in, but no hostess. The two of us sat at the only available table -- a table for six, three staff squeezed by us before we stopped one; we asked about ordering coffee and she told us... More

Visiting Orcas recently we followed the lead of all the previous reviewers and beat a path - twice - to this delightful little surprise of an eatery. The biggest surprise was how authentic the food was. Quality of ingredients, artistry of presentation and service is top notch. Sitting on the veranda surrounded by gorgeous flowers and whimsical painting is a... More

This is hands down our favorite place on Orcas to eat. My wife and I eat here several times a week and the owner, bill, has never made us a less than excellent meal. Our usual is the redemption salad but we also enjoy the burritos and nachos. Food always tastes good and is made with obviously fresh ingredients.
