We didn't have reservations but were able to score a table on a Tuesday night. Good chips and salsa. I had chili verde and husband had pollo al carbon. Portion sizes were just right - not super huge, but very filling. It doesn't taste like typical American Mexican food, but it was very good.

This place is very authentic. Loved the pitcher that the water came in. They use local ingredients. Staff was friendly. We made a reservation as one reviewer recommended, during the busy season, I strongly recommend a reservation.

We stopped in on a wet Friday evening, and although the place was busy, we got a table right away. The menu featured local ingredients, and it was clear from the outset that the staff took pride in the food. The guacamole was delightful, as were the pollo al carbon and enchilada plate. Extensive beverage selection, featuring wine, tequila and... More

My wife and I enjoyed the margaritas while we ate our chips and salsa. I ordered the chile reno and my wife had chicken taquitos. Both were excellent and hand made. This is real Mexican food.

Authentic mexican cuisine, great margaritas and friendly service. Be sure to make a reservation, as they are booked solid on weekends.

We have eaten at Mijitas on prior visits to Orcas, but tonight it was just excellent. Not your common Mexican, but real food with inspiration.

Stopped in around 5 pm on a weekday. We were seated outside. Our waiter was very nice. He brought us waters and some very good salsa and chips. We ordered fish tacos and a chicken dish. Both were very good. We would eat here again.

Had a wonderful dinner at Mijitas a week ago and would go back in a heartbeat. I had chili rellenos that were stuffed w/ mushrooms and a bit of cheese - very nice and different from the usual cheese only. The beans and rice were again not your typical and had the nicest little kick to them. My husband had... More

One of the best meals I've had on the San Juans; one of the best Mexican meals I've had in the NW. Preparations were unique and not at all standard fare, but if you wanted guac and chips and a taco, you can get that but the careful preparation and fresh high-quality ingredients set it apart. BEST Margarita I've had... More
