Naches Tavern is a classic small town pub/bar. It is open year round. During the winter it's a good place to stop for a beer after skiing. During the summer it attracts lots of bikers out riding through the mountains.

If you've stopped by taverns in small towns throughout the American West, then you will recognize the Naches. It is a locals joint near the Rainier Park entrance that also collects a lot of winter ski traffic and summer tourist traffic. The beers and food are OK and you will not be overrun by the staff because there is just... More

Not the friendliest welcome to be honest, but once we were seated, the service was efficient and the food was good. The family room at the back is a bonus as we could bring hungry kids in for refuelling after skiing. The nachos were a real hit!

This will be a very brief review. We simply love the Naches Tavern. Why? It's become something of a tradition for us - as it has for so many others - to stop in Greenwater for a sandwich and a beer on the way home from a hike or ski. The food and beer are very good. This place has... More

Pretty sure burger patties are a health hazard the way they smell. On top of that flies all over the place, loud belching sounds from the kitchen. Reubens were not bad, though and decor is nice. Bottomline - if you want to get a couple of beers, place should be ok, if you want food - go further.

Stopped for lunch, remembering that the service was not fast. This time it was horrible. It took almost 20 minutes to order. When the food finally came 40 minutes later, they had messed up the orders and had put on things that were requested to be left off, and forgot my 13 year old son's burger. The waiter said it... We had dinner here while staying in a rental house in Greenwater. It was the only place open at 8:00 on a Thursday and really the only real restaurant in the tiny town. We opted to sit outside as it was really hot indoors. The seating is picnic tables which fits with the casual atmosphere. We had mozzarella sticks, a... More

not much choice in that town, but I have gone here many times after hiking or camping or skiing, and tall boys are a great price, and food is ok, they have family friendly room and a fireplace in the winter, outdoor seating during good summer weather.

We stopped here for burgers (a late lunch) which were served on plastic basket style plates with a packet of lays chips on the side. The service was friendly and fast and the decor authentic pub / saloon style. We had kids so we're not allowed in the main bar area. The main downside was the quality of the burger... More

This Tavern in actually in Greenwater, WA. Me and my girlfriend were doubting about stopping at the tavern because we are not the motorcycle tattoo type, but after a long hike we were craving a good soup, with a good hamburger. We saw a "family friendly" sign at the entrance so we felt more comfortable coming in. Better yet, it... More
