A small place but everything is homemade. One of the best BBQ brisket sandwiches I have eaten. The restaurant is often closed for unknown reason. It is best to call first to see if they are open. All the sides are also excellent!

As the title suggests, the food here is very, very good. However, the guy that runs the place has an abrasive attitude. Off putting as it is, I would still go back because his food is that good. The ribs are fabulous and the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw was delicious.

I make it a point to eat here every time I leave the peninsula. It is everything a bbq place should be. A little loud, small, and by far the best bbq in Washington, if not the west coast. My favorite is the jerkiyaki. Though I can't seem to leave without a large togo bag to bring home. I'd you... More

Full disclosure: I own 3 barbecue grills and I cook a lot of barbecue. Even so, I was most pleased to find Gabriel's Fire about a block from my house. This is the real deal barbecue and they don't try to do anything else. I've eaten their beef, chicken and pork and I have had a few of their many... More

So if you love bbq you will love Gabriel's. It is hands down the best bbq on the west side i could even argue the state. They know bbq and they do it best. You don't win best bbq 4 years in a row if you're not the best and they are. Quite relaxed atmosphere with good beers on tap... More

I stopped in for a weekday lunch to a near empty house. I ordered the 1/3 brisket and a ½ pound of ribs with a side of French fries. The order came up quickly and the portion size was perfect for lunch. The very tender meats had a great amount of infused smoke and both were nicely seasoned. The only... More

Forget famous dave's, if you want real bbq (the brisket literally sells out nightly), hit them up. If parking lot is full, plenty of street parking. Oh and try the gumbo.

The flavors are fantastic at this small place. Highest quality meats. Great choice of sauces and side dishes. Prices are on the higher side but worth every penny!

Ok if Gabriel's ever decided to relocate..COME TO BELLINGHAM!! LOVE this place. Small inside but who cares about that when the BBQ is so damn good! Brisket is cooked to perfection. There are different sauces you can choose from, I really like the kc, jerk if I'm in the mood for extremely hot (and I know hot). Prices amaze me... More
