My wife and I were intrigued to find out that one of the most popularly recommended things to do while visiting Olympia is a coffee place (of all places). We went in and ordered our drinks and love the presentation, and more so enjoyed the staff's casual demeanor. I felt like I was among friends, rather than a bunch of... More

Burial Grounds fits perfectly into this dark space. It looks like they've been there forever. I love Firefly Roaster's coffee (formerly Hawthorne's)! Unfortunately, I have been treated poorly by the baristas on my last two visits. This morning, I was apparently standing in the barista's way of getting behind the counter. She was snarky about it. The visit before, this... More

I love this cafe because of how different it is. The dark vibes are a nice change, and the coffee is very good! Love the skull latte art, such a great idea! Worth a visit if in downtown Oly!

We make it up to Olympia a few times a year, and luckily decided to pop in here on a Saturday night. It made me feel very nostalgic - like I was back in college again. Disclaimer - if you don't like GOOD music - this place isn't for you! ;) We were warmly greeted by the staff who treated... More

Decided to stop by while visiting Olympia. Friendly staff and patrons. Love the library and outdoor seating area. Coffee tasted pretty darn good. Will be back, thanks!

I try to go here every time I'm in Olympia. Despite its goth appearance, which may intimidate some of the more delicate travelers, the staff is very accommodating, the coffee is Great and poured by Expert Baristas, and the food isn't bad either. You can tell there are many regulars. I love the ambiance. It's a good place to blend... More

Tons of specialty drinks in a cool setting- big reading room with books, comics, and miscellany. Nice to have a memento mori in your foam.

Like everyone says....FUNKY with a capital F. Great coffee -dirty chia like never before ;-) yummy. Loved the Casadia Flag and the brief explanation......Always learning in Olywa. Nice walkable part of town. Easy to find parking. Could use a little clean up around the edges....like the bathroom.

Maybe it's just Olywa, which is a unique city, that I found my visit here so ... unique. I loved the name and it came recommended. So although I am an out-of-towner, I found it odd that my companion had to turn over her purse and coat to use the restroom. I ordered a simple coffee, held her purse and... More

I'm picky about my coffee drinks. Few places in Olympia live up to my expectations, burial grounds is by far and away the best coffee house I've ever been to. It has a funky, downtown vibe, with some no nonsense, awesome baristas. Highly recommend any of their drinks but the hot chocolate with the works is incredible. The atmosphere might... More
