There are not a lot of good dining establishments in this neck of the woods so I think this is a little gem (access to the Mt. St. Helen's area and Gifford Pinchot National Forest). They had some very nice homemade soup. The usual assortment of salads and sandwiches, breakfast served until well into the afternoon. Nice local bar/lounge in... More

This small town restaurant, was clean and inviting. I wish I could say more positive things about the food. Our waitress was sweet and efficient, but at a loss for making a suggestion that may had led to a more satisfying meal and review. My dining partner had the broasted chicken, that looked good, but was dry and chewy. I... More

Clean and friendly service food is typical small town restaurant. They have a few items with a spin like Irish sausages but the normal fried crunchy appetizer. We eat here at least twice a month. Staff is helpful and beer is cold. Pizza is usually a good bet. Breakfast is reliable. Make sure you order your hash browns extra crispy... More

Excellent grub, breakfast until 2 PM, adult beverages and TV if you want it in the back room. Clean, delicious, and affordable. They have nightly specials as well.

We stopped by for lunch. It was off season so not very crowded, but the food was plentiful and had great flavor. Great place to fuel up for the day.

My wife and I had an enjoyable dinner here. Our server was prompt and poured a great drink! We both had the trout dinners which were perfectly cooked and served hot straight from the kitchen. Nothing worse that cold fish. For such a great meal the price was more than reasonable and we would return.

Good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast was tasty and convenient (since we also stayed in their hotel). Nice location close to both Rainier and St. Helens.

Checking out the eats in Randle while camping near by. We have ate at tall timber for years. But things have changed there. They have new staff in the kitchen that are very slow. They increased the prices and shrunk the portions. The value is not good now. I will not be visiting there for a while. I used to... More

There are not a lot of restaurants in either Packwood or Randle, so we decided to give this little diner a try. We were pleasantly surprised to find pan fried trout on the menu, and even more surprised are the reasonable price. The dinner comes with a salad or soup, veggie of the day, potato option, roll, and 2 generous... More

The best thing on the menu is the deep fried cod fish. We frequently go here for breakfast and enjoy interacting with the locals.
