I had a yearning for fish and chips so stopped here for the first time to take some back to our resort. I wish I could say something great about the food, however, I can say the service was friendly. I ordered halibut which is not inexpensive but it either had been frozen or overcooked as it was too dry.... More

Stopped here for our usual fried clams. New owners informed us they no longer have them. A quick perusal revealed no clam strips, a pretty uncreative menu, and, much higher prices. ? Victims of the latest Washington State minimum wage increase. Needless to say, we left for another venue, crossing this usual, annual go to place off our list when... More

After many years of great meals, the new owner is trying to recreate the recipes of the past. I understand the past owner is working with Julie to do just that. We asked for the Seafood Scramble that used to be on the menu, and Julie asked us how to do. We complied and she did a good job of... More

The outside looks interesting, but the food was below average and very expensive. I would try someplace else.

There are 2 small eating areas inside with a train that runs near the ceiling. I ordered the dinner special. For $10 I had a chicken fried steak, small chowder, salid and mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted and were textured like instant mashed potatoes that had no milk or butter. Chowder was ok. Thankfully not a full cup. Hubby enjoyed... More

Terrific clam chowder -- a big, honest bowl! Hilarious little spot that you might miss -- which would be wrong. I'm telling you, it would be wrong. The place is not huuuuuge. Big heart, great soup! We'll be back!!!

My mom and I had lunch here; taking a break from camping at Cape Disappointment. We both had the halibut fish and chips and boy we were not disappointed! Batter was nice & light and the 3 pieces extreemely large and flakey. Initially I thought what they charged was a bit high.. but when I actually got the fish and... More

Cute little Train Caboose car converted into small dining room. We split 4 piece Halibut and Fries, bowl of chowder and fresh salad. Very good meal! Lots of memorabilia on walls to look at .. nothing fancy .. but food is good!

We were on our way out of town and stopped at the Kaboose. We were the only people in the restaurant. It is pretty run down and the staff were a little unkempt, but were really friendly. The clam chowder was gritty and I didn't feel well for our ride home... haven't had chowder since! We will not be returning.... More

I thought 75+ bucks for 3 adult 3pc fish meals and two kids 1pc fish was a little pricey. But it did taste good and the lady was always there to refresh our drinks.
