My husband and I had high hopes for this restaurant , after all of the positive reviews. However , we were dissatisfied with both of our meals! The beignets were the highlight of the meal. They were ok , but not the best i've ever had! Our meals took awhile to be brought to us. When they came out ,... More

I've had one of the best chicken fried steaks here and was tempted to order it again but I did the house special which was the Beef Stroganoff which was excellent. My martini was ice cold just like I like it. I had a pinot noir and my wife had a pinot grigio both were top notch. Looking forward to... More

We chanced upon this cafe, looking for a cup of coffee on New Year's Day, and ended up celebrating with Bloody Marys and Hangtown Fry. Food and drinks were excellent as well we the service. The marionberry-strawberry jam was so good, we couldn't stop eating. We will definitely be back, next time we come to the beach!

This is a little house set up as a restaurant - with lots of quilting-like touches, it feels right out of another time. I particularly like getting eggs with fried oysters, though the bacon waffles and various pancakes are good too, and of course there's the standard eggs with potatoes and bacon or sausage and toast. They also serve lunch... More

We have tried several places for breakfast in the Long Beach area and had several recommendations for this cafe. It is really a step above other places, with not just great food and atmosphere but very unique menu items and extras. The marionberry jam is wonderful (we bought a couple to take home). The salmon scramble is yummy, and the... More

What can I say? It was kind of ordinary. We came in around 10:30 or so on a Sunday, and though there looked to be free tables in the small dining area, we were asked to wait a bit while the host got a table ready. Once we got our food... well, none of us were impressed. I got a... More

My husband ordered a blueberry waffle. When it came out it was a plain waffle with blueberries and whip cream on top. He asked our waiter why it didn't have blueberries in it and if they could redo it. They did but by the time it came out his sausage was cold and my food was cold. I stopped eating... More

Last Saturday 4 friends made a reservation for 5:30 PM. One friend really wanted a good steak and her heart was set on it. We were served a delicious berry lemonade, served in a carafe..a.generous portion! But as we were ordering, the waiter said there was no more steak. They only defrost two an evening and two were just ordered.... More

We went to this restaurant last night. I was very excited about having their Porterhouse Steak that was on the menu. When I ordered it the waiter said they had sold out ??? It was only 5:30PM. Also this was on a Saturday night. The waiter had said that 2 people had come in and ordered it and that they... More
