This was our first trip since the remodel and new menu. Previously we found the food and service to be mediocre at best. We really enjoyed our most recent vist howerver. First, the valley parking with 2 1/2 hrs free and $1.50 per hr after...More

Newly renovated (actual) Steam Plant open seven days a week in downtown Spokane. We had lighter dinner fare and were quite happy with the result. My wife loved the mac 'n cheese, and the Penn Cove mussels (LOTS OF MUSSELS for an "appetizer"). Prices quite...More

This restaurant is in an old steam plant, which is a very fun environment. The kitchen is open, so you can watch them tossing the pizzas before putting them in the wood fire oven. The portion sizes are are large, and I can recommend the...More

My husband and I rarely get away kid free, but we did tonight. The food, music (blues), drinks, and service were all wonderful. So great!

Really enjoyed eating and having drinks in the bar area. The atmosphere was very cool - newly remodeled inside an old steam plant. The house brewed beer was great - I had a stout and also a Porter on nitro (not on the menu) that...More

Some colleagues and I just had lunch here since the remodel. I had the Blackened rock fish sandwich. It was excellent. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced and the fish was cooked to perfection - light, flaky, and moist. One colleague had the Reuben...More

The atmosphere was fun as they left the industrial feeling but did an excellent job with the remodel. The food was good as was the service. Lots of options for both food and drink, and our server was excellent. They have some rooms for groups...More

We were very excited for dinner at the newly renovated restaurant but very disappointed in the menu changes. Our bad for not checking the menu in advance, but we never expected that a 4 star restaurant we used to visit for Its steakhouse feel and...More

New menu is amazing, loved the food and service, but why close off the smokestacks to the public? What was the whole point of renovation if you close off the main attraction? Not very appealing for this born-and-raised Spokanite if for each visit I gotta...More

Welcome to the historic Steam Plant, site of an award-winning preservation effort and a landmark Spokane destination. The Steam Plant was built in 1916 and provided radiant steam heat to over 300 buildings in downtown Spokane until it closed in 1986. Avista and Wells and Company renovated the building and re-opened it in 1999, preserving much of the original working plant. While you're here, be sure to take a moment for a self-guided tour. Narrative displays are located throughout this one-of-a-kind building. We hope you enjoy our distinctive approach to dining, in which we work with local farmers and ranchers to create dishes that celebrate the best our region has to offer.
