Opened originally as a smaller branch of the East-West cafe established decades ago in the Tacoma Mall District, they pioneered the fusion of Asian dishes prepared for western tastes in this area. The original more upscale location is gone, but this location remains in the casual Proctor shopping district. While the menu includes dishes with Chinese and Korean roots, the... More

Never a bad meal. Pleasant ambiance and attentive wait staff. Soft classical music that did not interfere with conversation (a rarity these days!). Not the first time or the last that I will eat here. Fair prices too.

Two of us went for lunch on a work day. We got there early, in order to beat any possible lunch rush since it is a small place. We had to wait to be seated, even though no one was ahead of us and there were tables. It took forever to get water, to have or order taken. I had... More

I have been ALOT of places, and I always come back to E/W for actual GOOD food! The prices are reasonable for the amount of food they serve ( we ALWAYS have a box to take home...which is guarded over !!!!) I LOVE their PAD Sei YOU (sp?) , always ask no fish sauce, (vegetarian!) but the non vegetarians tell... More

Took my daughters here for lunch and everyone enjoyed it; especially the vegetarian. Located in a well maintained section of town near UPS. The restaurant does not seat very many people, so on busy days you might have too wait a minute. Very cozy and nicely decorated dining area. Staff was pleasant and attentive. All food dishes were well plated,... More

Met a friend there for dinner this evening. We had both enjoyed the other East/West restaurant near the Tacoma Mall. The later is now closed. He had the Pad Thai and I had a Thai prawn dish. My food was bland. The prawns were farmed and the vegetables were all pre-cut. The cost was $14.00 for my meal. The service... More

We've been looking for good Thai food, and we found it! The Tom Ka Gai soup, Panang Curry and Pad Thai were all great. The portions were plenty big for sharing. Looking toward to going back!

We dine here at least one a week. Having traveled extensively in Japan, hong Kong, Thailand, ans Singapore, it is easy to say the food at this spectacular small family restaurant is the best I have ever had. Everything is fresh, hot and lways pleases. What a wonderful find!

Thank Greg W
