We stopped in prior to heading to see a film nearby, and were delighted by the ambience, the careful wine selection, and the delicious small plates that were available. The charcuterie selections were especially pleasing.

We went for lunch and when we entered the resturant it felt right. The food was fresh, inventive and well presented. Service was fun and attentive. Great Food. Will have to try tappas on an evening run.

It wasn't like I expected: 2 small rooms, most tables having stools or boxes to sit on, a few chairs. We were there for something before going to the Pantages theatre which is close to it. They have sandwiches and small plates, which is is what we got. Everything was excellent: the cheeses, the flank steak, the prawns. I had a... More

Went to El Tufo Wine Bar last evening and what a tremendous find! Some of the best tapas outside of Spain in Tacoma, Washington? The Chef, Bruce was trying out his new menu and it was delicious. Great variety of tapas. We tried the Patatas de Crema which are tri-colored baby potatoes in a creamy garlic sauce topped with manchego... More

It was a new place for both of us. We heard good things and we did have a nice lunch. The soup of the day caught our eye; Carrot Coconut Curry. They were kind enough to bring us a little sampling and it was quite good! We were happy with the various lunch options. I ordered the special sandwich of... More

Everything about our visit was absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend stopping in during the morning, lunch, or dinnertime! Food and wine are like fine dining with non-fine dining prices. YUM!

Today's supper at STINK upheld their reputation for fun, different meal options. My friend and I had bowls of the 5 Star Mushroom Soup, split the Antipasti ($16) and had an order of Albondigas ($7). Everything was super tasty. They have an interesting and varied list of salads and sandwiches. They have a Macaroni and Cheese du jour. Today's was... More

Went fairly early on Friday evening. One server was pretty busy with a small number of patrons. We told her we need to make it to a event about an hour later. We had to take the food to go and eat it as leftovers.... Not acceptable.

Met some local friends who insisted we try this. Don't be put off by the name - it is apparently connected with a local industry. The restaurant has two sides. One is the slightly fancier wine bar that looked welcoming and the other is the more down to earth, diner-like sandwhich shop we tried. The menu is short and appealing.... More

House-made soups, eclectic sandwiches, fresh salads, cheese, cured meats, Spanish tapas, over 30 wines by the glass and draft beers. While the word "stink" can conjure up some negative connotations, we at STINK Cheese-Meat and El Tufo Wine Bar believe the word represents everything good about old world food and drink. The Europeans have always treated wine and beer as food. For centuries they have understood the relationship between good food and drink that goes beyond satisfying hunger - it facilitates passion. We want you to experience what we already know. With this said, we know STINK is not for everyone. You won't find a big, buttery-oakey chardonnay or bold and bitter IPA, but if you are willing to step out of the box, we will show you a beer or wine that has stood the test of time. Our beverages not only taste amazing, they tell a story. Add a hunk of cheese or cured meat to the equation and it's time to take a journey you will want to take again, and again.
