Love love love this place. Best sushi in town. Owner is wonderful. Service is great and Juan San is such a great sushi chef. Ask him about his secret rolls. Fish is always fresh and fabulous!!!

The sashimi and sushi we had was very fresh and attractively prepared. The miso soup was good and not as salty as some. They still bring out free amuse bouche items that are always fun to try. The service is excellent. The server was knowledgeable about the types of saki available. The tea kept coming. The place is spotless. What... More

Beware! If ordering sashimi the price on the menu is not representative of what you'll be charged! I ordered sashimi, 4 types of fish....$75dollar bill! Yikes! Fish was good, but would have liked to have been given a heads up during the ordering process. Not after the fish was consumed, "you know how our sashimi pricing works, right?" Juan the... More

Whether hosting distinguished speakers, Grammy or Pulitzer winners or just out of town friends, I always tip them off to this fine restaurant should they wish to dine in proximity to their hotel, and never in decades has a comment come back which wasn't glowing. It's a great place for a nicely-prepared meal in a tasteful environment.

Fujiya is one of the older Japanese restaurants in the area, and the best in the downtown area. They have very good sushi - nigiri and maki selections are varied and well constructed. The sashimi is fresher than most places in town. In addition to great sushi and sashimi, Fujiya has excellent hot dishes. Their steak teriyaki is really delicious,... More

Excellent choice in Tacoma for sushi and sashimi. Spicy Ahi, Rainbow Roll and the amazing 69 Roll - all pictured below - highlighted our lunch. We also enjoyed salmon and tuna sashimi. Everything was fresh and tasty. We didn't want to be done. Go and enjoy!!

I stopped by for lunch and found all food to be fresh. They are always busy. The wait staff was very polite and very helpful. The chef even greeted diners and treated everyone to fresh sushi samples. I was there in 2014 but that year was not an option by the time I finished this draft.

I've been coming here for 28 years and it is truly the best in Tacoma. Fish is so fresh. Great menu of rolls and incredible sashimi. The staff is excellent including an amazing sushi chef Juan San. Favorite rolls are 69 and Chris roll. Must try.

We have eaten here for years. We like this small restaurant for the good Japanese food, Sushi and personal service. Typical the chef sends a sample to the table before the food we ordered is served. They are willing to make small substitutions on the menu. Other patrons enjoy the Sushi Bar, but it is not to our taste.
