My hubby and I went here to celebrate 15 years together. From the moment we arrived it was amazing - anniversary card on our table and romantic Captains Table seating! This was followed by outstanding service and food - escargot, steak tartare, steak dinners with mushroom risotto, followed by their apple, blue cheese, nut plate (include in dinner) and we... More

I could go on and on about what to order but you won't fail with whatever it is you decide to eat. You will want to go back so you can order everything else on the menu. I usually do filet and lobster with the bernaise or the table side for two. Cesar salad, wicked shrimp, the bread, the lobster,... More

Went here for my birthday and it is expensive but really worth it. We took friends and we all ordered a different steak and all love their specific cut. Wine is really expensive but they really have a lovely selection of delicious wine

We have dined at the El Gaucho in Portland many time but this was our first visit to the restaurant in Tacoma. It did not disappoint. The menu appears to be the same and we ordered the Chateaubriand for two that is carved table side. It is a 20oz. center-cut of tenderloin that is served with baked potato, asparagus and... More

A friend suggested we stop by for their Happy Hour before continuing to an event. We ordered a variety of items including sandwiches and Brie. The food items were very good and we would return again for those items. We asked for a table but the "gentleman" who greeted us left us standing and seemed as though we were bothering... More

Merica was amazing to work with to organize our gathering and she really went the extra mile to accommodate my requests. We had a great time with our party of 12 on the piano balcony. The drinks and food were awesome. I highly recommend this place for a classy night out with your gals or your honey. It's pretty dark... More

Took my mother here to celebrate her birthday and from the moment we walked in the door we felt as if we were special guests. Kelly our server was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was outstanding and prepared exactly how it was requested. We had requested a booth for the occasion and they were kind... More

I have been going to El Gaucho regularly for a year. After only the 1st visit, the staff recognized our faces and were very personable. The service at El Gaucho is a cut above the rest! Johnny and Marcus are so friendly, and go out of their way to make your dining experience top-notch. And the food...delicious! If price is... More

Folks that have dined at El Gaucho already know what a great experience it is to eat there. But, What is not widely known is that they have a fantastic happy hour. The restaurant opens at 4, which is the best time to get there. The menu is full of delicious items. Try the burgers (you can't go wrong with... More
