We had dinner here before going to the Pocahontas County Opera House, which is right next door. The menu is substantial. I ordered the salmon special and my husband got fish tacos. The food was delicious. I wish I had their recipe for the mashed potatoes. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos. A word to the wise - he ordered... More

The Dirtbean was recommended to us, by the depot gift shop. The menu offered a wide array of fresh food. We were pleasantly surprised by the options. The food was delicious, and we even got some desserts to take for later.

We stopped in for a quick lunch after hiking. I had a salad and my husband the French dip. Enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. I had visited the old location before the fire, but I have to admit I think I love this new spot even more! Service was great too.

We had dinner at Dirt Bean while in Marlinton this past weekend, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu has a lot of variety, and our dinners were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the salads!

The Dirtbean was recommended to us for lunch. It was described as great smoothies and quesadillas, pizza, really sounded yummy. And it was! I had roasted red pepper soup and a house salad. Really good. But the staff was so unfriendly it was a little uncomfortable. It's worth a visit for good food. Maybe you can get them to smile!... More

Thank you for the review. I am happy to hear your food was good. As far as unfriendly staff, it happens, unfortunately, especially with a busy week, short handed, equipment issues and the like. As of late, these have been a few challenges. Keeping a smile at all times is difficult at times. I do not say this as an... More

On a trip taking a friend down to Old Droop Church Cemetery we stopped at the Visitor Center in Marlinton and were referred to the Dirtbean Cafe and Bike Shop for lunch. A marvelous lunch, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. What more could you ask for? Even as a vegetarian the options made for some debate before I settled on... More

In for the road kill fest. My wife got the beef dip sandwich. Came on a ciabatta roll, lots of meat with a tasty au jus. Salsa was tangy with a touch of good bitter. 4 instead instead of 5 cause they only had one pale ale! (My lunch)

Thank you for the good words. Roadkill cook off is a great time of year and often way busy for my small kitchen and few staff. I tend to worry about getting things out timely and to satisfaction on weekends like Roadkill. Thank you. Sorry about the IPA. We typically carry the Devil Anse from Greenbrier Valley Brewing but it's... More

$2.50 for two slices of toast? It must have been sprinkled with gold dust and I didn't know it. Too rich for my blood.
