On recent visits, this restaurant has been both hot and cold. Today we friends met for lunch and had a pleasant experience. It was very quiet with few diners. The waiter assigned to our table was personable, on task, and able to carry on an intelligent conversation with us. The brie chess, bacon, and blueberry sandwich with a side salad... More

We went to brunch at Sargasso yesterday. The food and service were both outstanding. I got the smoked salmon bagel and my husband the best burger. Both were delicious. I loved my elderflower orange sparkling drink. We loved the quality of our dishes. While we frequently go to their sister restaurant for Sunday brunch, the service here was exponentially better.... Sargasso is one our favorites spots for dinner in Morgantown. It is now our favorite Sunday brunch as well. Creative menu options and exceptional service makes for a great dining experience. I would like to see them drop the standard 10% gratuity. Makes no sense for a party of 2 to have a standard gratuity fee.

This restaurant has not met my expectations for food the past few times we've eaten here. The ambiance is good for Morgantown and the bar is fun but the fine dining experience has left a lot to be desired. Our group agreed that none of us had a meal that was especially tasty or would recommend to someone that they... More

We met for a lunch at Sargasso, and it had been quite some time since I dined there. We had unpleasant experiences before so I waited to visit again. There was a nice lunch crowd and we were seated at a table in the room with several windows. Our waiter was really the best part of the lunch. He was... More

Excellent meal! The waitstaff is well trained and very attentive to detail! The food was delicious! We had calamari and wedge salads to start! Great presentation on the main dishes! The scallops were grilled to perfection and the filet was the best I have had in quite a while! I would recommend to anyone and will be back again! Could... More

Glad to see Sargosso on Open Table. My preferred solution to narrow dining options and make reservations. In town for a WVU basketball weekend. Our dinner was excellent, or maybe we luckily chose the best itemss in the menu. From the Peppercorn Salad to the scallops, salmon, and rack of lamb we three dined like royalty. Received excellent counsel on... More

We went to Sagasso to celebrate our Anniversary. This was my second visit, while my husband has eaten here many times for business. We were greeted the minute we walked in and seated. Our wait staff was excellent, attentive while not over bearing. Both of us loved our dinners. I had a chicken Rosemary dish, the dinner special. The lightly... More

And was underwhelmed by their Hanoi Pho. I lived in NOVA for years and are Pho every couple of weeks. I love Pho. I was jonesing for Pho. So - while on a caching trip I found this place and said "Whoa! Pho!" This Pho is nothing like the Pho I've tasted elsewhere. If this were my first taste -... More

Hi Charlie, Thank you for your feedback. Brunch as a whole and the Pho were new offerings for Sargasso when you dined with us in February. Our Chefs were still working out the kinks for several dishes at that time. We are sorry that the dish wasn't up to par and we hope you would consider joining us again if... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find (via their website) that Sargasso offers a Sunday brunch (we were being lazy and couldn't figure out what to cook). To start, we split half a bagel topped with house cured salmon, cream cheese, capers, shaved fennel, cucumbers and dill ... amazing! The salmon was moist and tender. I ordered the larger portion of... More
