We had a group for a private party with a limited menu. The bone in ribeye was amazing. Old fashion supper club style with a nice relish tray on each table. They also have some great bottles of wine if one likes.

Had dinner with some friends in early Jan of 2017. Made reservations, always a good idea, and were seated without a problem. Drinks were great as were the appetizers. One had walleye, excellent, one had crab cakes, again outstanding, the other couple had steak and veal. Both excellent. Atmosphere was great, service very good. Deserts were wonderful. Would recommend this... More

Our family loves to eat here after long hikes in the Chequamegon. Start with an old fashioned and a relish tray. Highly recommend the spinach soup and any fish or schnitzel. Also love the decor, including the doll houses and the immaculate bar.

My husband and I visited on a Sunday night. We were there early and easily got a table. Reservations might be a good idea in general because several groups that came later had to wait for tables. We enjoyed the relish tray - nice variety. My husband thought the pate was very good and I loved the house-made marinated olives.... More

Visited Chippewa Inn early on a Saturday evening. Joey and company were entertaining with music at the bar. Godd food.

From the relish tray, right on through the entire delicious dinner, it was great. Good service and reasonable prices have made this a frequent stop for us! Steaks are excellent and the traditional German food is something unique and special that you can't get just anywhere. And did I mention the amazing live music? Makes a good evening an occasion!

After being told there was a 20 minute wait we ended up waiting an hour and a half for dinner and finally left with seven tables open in the dining room. Poor customer service with an "I don't care" attitude.

After waiting an hour beyond the "20" minutes to get seated we found ourselves with two other couples wondering when dinner would happen. After noticing an empty table my wife counted seven open tables while the dix of us just waited. We left. My advice, be a regular, or make a reservation but dropping in on your way not advised.

They start you off with an appetizer tray - radishes, Liverwurst (tasty), pickled herring, and smear cheese (tasty). We had Bavarian Goulash - good, with Spaetzle. We also had their fried fish (perch?) it was good, too. Prices a little high.

Everytime we're in Hayward, we always go to Chippewa inn. The food is German and so delicious!!! It's a beautiful restaurant. 10 out of 10. Definitely try it if you're in the area.
