We went there for Sunday lunch. Nice venue, typical roast Sunday lunch roasts on offer. I had the Lamb, and my Dad had the fish. Ample portions, both value for money. However, despite plenty of staff, I had to leave my table and go to the bar on 3 separate occasions to order drinks/food. Pity young staff did not seem... More

6 of us went to the Royal Oak for Sunday Lunch. The menu choice was great including various roast dinners and in particular there was a very good choice for my wife who is a vegetarian! Starters, main courses and desserts were all incredibly tasty.

We came as a family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed all three courses. I had the soup, roast, and a brownie and I wouldn't change a thing, it was all delicious. The staff were friendly and polite and the service was great. Couldn't ask for any more.

We searched for pubs in Midhurst and by chance chose here. We arrived not expecting to find a table since it was Sunday lunchtime; however we were offered "the ledge" by the entrance which consists of two stools and a breakfast bar against the wall.......we accepted - and so glad we did! We read the papers and magazines as though... More

We visited here after being let down by another pub, where our booking we made was for the wrong date. Anyway we phoned and were delighted to hear they had a table for 8. The pub is beautiful and looked very well maintained. The service was flawless and the food compared to Michelin starred restaurants i have eaten in. The... More

See my previous review...the Oak continues to go from strength to strength. Great food, lovely setting and a fab landlord called Jules! Look out for their occasional live music nights, great fun

A family Sunday lunch in August. All adults. Good food and timely service. We did not book and were lucky to get a table. We had F and Chips and Sunday roast and all were declared very good. The pub is dog-friendly also.

We came here on Wednesday 24 August 2016. It wasn't busy but we were told there was a delay of about half an hour for food, which wasn't too bad, and at least they were honest and told us! There was a good selection of interesting food on the menu, and also a Bar menu of basic pub food, so... More
