Went for Sunday brunch that has all the rave reviews. Frankly, we didn't see the fuss. We got seated late and were hurried out. Second, unlimited Champagne and coffee. Yes, if you can get their attention. The tiny little champagne glass was refilled once, the coffee once. Lots of water though. Half size glass of orange juice is not included... More

This is 1850's home is very cool. Lots of history preserves. The fireplaces are awesome. Hand carved wood with ornate surrounds. Nice little bar with a great bartender. Music in the early evening. Great view of the lake. We really enjoyed our afternoon

We ventured to Baker House to check out piano player Tom Stanfield. Since we are here in the off season, no food is being served, just drinks. We enjoyed seeing the antiquities throughout the house. There are games available to the public. We seen dominoes, chess, backgammon, and others. A very laid back atmosphere.

We always love the Baker House and usually only get to go for dinner. Finally got to go to their Sunday Champagne Brunch. It was wonderful. Full buffet with chef offering breakfast and dinner like items. The hats are always so much fun and I love sitting out on the porch. The only reason I did not give it a... More

The Baker House called the morning of our arrival and checked to see if we needed anything before we arrived. They offered to make dinner reservations for us. When we arrived they took us to our room and brought our bags in for us. The view of the lake was amazing the first night. The staff make you feel at... More

The tour of the hotel is absolutely fascinating. It has such a rich, varied history. It's also incredibly beautiful. Tea with views of the lake after the tour is a blast. The tea is delicious, as are the finger foods that accompany it. We had a wonderful time and definitely plan on returning to the hotel in the future for... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the nearby Maxwell Mansion and went to the Baker house for the buffet champagne brunch. We were hesitant at first since it was pricey for breakfast but dear Lord, it was worth every penny. The food was OUTSTANDING. I'm not a breakfast person as it is, but even I couldn't resist the selections here.... More

My husband was excited to go to the The Ice Bar (Fire and Ice Lounge) at the Baker House. It had sculptures, tables, and a bar made of ice and is only available a couple of weeks in February. We went in a Friday and my husband paid the VIP price of $25 that included parking and two drink tokens... More

Dear Seasoned, We appreciate your review. Our Ice Bar is held for only 2 weekends once a year and it is very difficult to forecast peak times for crowds. This was our 1st year offering the VIP ticket which offered our hotel guests and those who wanted to purchase the upgrade to not have to ever wait on line, enjoy... More

We stayed in the Bordeaux Room during Winterfest. The hotel is beautiful, the room was quant. Each night they placed some type of furry hot water bottles on our bed, undead our sheets which made them so warm and wonderful to crawl into. Especially as we snacked on the wonderful little pastries they placed in the room. The bed was... More

First, do not come here thinking that you are actually going to take a " tour" . For the price that you pay, I was shocked what you actually experience. There were about 50 people for this past Saturday for high tea. We all were guided into a bar/ pallor and told a story for about 20 minutes. We were... More

Dear Jeri, I am so sorry you were disappointed this past weekend during Winterfest ( the busiest weekend of the year in Lake Geneva) we had unusually high numbers and unfortunately our docent was unexpectedly out sick with pneumonia. When we have large groups we like to split them into two groups so there is plenty of room to really... More
