Tucked between clothing stores, a pleasantly unexpected treasure on a hot day - "GELATO" enticed us away from our original lunch plans & into Chocolaterie Stam (Greenway Station shopping mall). Refreshing & so delicious. Though known for their chocolates my absolute favorite was & is the Pink Grapefruit. We split one, then purchased a pint & were unable to stop... More

Both the store and the chocolates are elegant and beautiful, and the many flavors amazing. An array of European candies, and gelato are also available. There are a few cozy tables for a great cup of coffee - similar to a european cafe. It is, however, expensive, and there are other good chocolate places in Madison. Not a good place for... More

This shop is in an outdoor shopping mall and the associate working was pleasant and helpful. The selection of chocolates is average. I've been to other chocolatiers that have a far better selection. The truffles I bought were good, but not great. Flavor profiles were a little bland. Nothing to write home about.

Stopped in for a bite--the chocolates looked fantastic but I went with ice cream/gelato! The chocolate and the chocolate hazelnut flavors were awesome! Highly recommend if you're in the area!

It seems so easy to miss this shop tucked in between various clothing stores, but I'm always impressed with their dark chocolates, and the European feeling to picking out the individual selections from behind the glass. In summer, it's fun to see what gelato flavors are being featured for the week. Was hoping for pink grapefruit on my most-recent visit,... More

My wife and I were treated by my parents to a Chocolate & Gelato tasting. The gelato and sorbeto were okay, nothing that would change my life. However, the chocolate was extraordinary! The milk chocolate was acceptional. I have had good milk chocolate before though. The dark chocolate was by far the best I have ever had. I am not... More

Chocolaterie Stam has multiple locations in Iowa, but this one, in Middleton, is operated as a non-profit, with proceeds benefiting the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, for which Mr. Stam played with back some years ago. We visited for the tasting experience, which started with a plate of assorted thin chocolates, followed by a sampling of 8 different gelato... More

I was lured into Chocolaterie Stam (in the Greenway Station shopping mall) by the sight of a refrigerated case filled with a display of gelatos looking so delicious that my plans for a normal lunch suddenly morphed into a plan to eat gelato, immediately! After sampling several flavors, I settled on salted caramel, the Chef's Special -- quite heavenly. The decor... More
