My husband and I were in the area last week and had lunch here. Attentive service, delicious food and cute atmosphere made this a great choice. I had the macaroni and cheese, yum! My husband had the catfish sandwich which he loved. Of course we finished off with a great piece of chocolate pie. Wish we lived closer!

I found the Hubbard Avenue Diner & Bakery via a search for the best pies in the Madison area. I was calling only a few days before Thanksgiving and other bakeries were no longer taking orders. I have to say that the Apple Pie that I purchased at Hubbard was by far the best apple pie I have ever had.... More

Well it is worth the wait! We had great food at fair prices! Service is quick and efficient, we had a great egg omelettes. It was the pies though that got our attention. We ended up taking away some apple and french silk pies to share with friends. If you do have to wait, give the hostess your name and... More

BEST. PIE. E-V-E-R!! (Sorry Mom.) Honestly you'll want take a whole one home with you. Must come hungry if you order a hamburger or cheeseburger. For any meal, plan to go a little early because this place fills up very quickly.

Get there early for breakfast, as the place can fill up quickly. Great food and service all the way around. Fun to figure out the T-shirt sayings for their signature pies.

Come hungry and don't plan to eat for awhile afterwards. We visited for breakfast and were literally full until dinner. The place was really busy (OSU game day morning) but we only had a short wait for the table. Waitress was very pleasant and the food was great.

The food is out of this world. Everything here is wonderful. You will even want to get food to go. You can't get enough of a really good thing. Plus their desserts are out of this world, also.

Our hotel staff recommended Hubbard and they were right on. It's a pleasant setting with a staff to match. They specialize in pies, but the other dinner options we selected were very good. We would return if ever in the area.

Love homemade comfort foods? Love homemade pies? Try my favorites...meatloaf sandwich, sweet potato fries or the mac and cheese. Save room for desert! Key Lime is my favorite, homemade every day. Don't forget your "Peace of Pie" bumper sticker!

A great neighborhood and an awesome art deco diner. Food is good but the atmosphere is tops. The national mustard museum is next-door.
