A bit of Bavaria in our backyard. One of the few outposts of the Munich, Germany based Brewery this location whilst somewhat stark, offers authentic Biers and a limited, but very good food menu. DO NOT MISS the Pretzels that are flown in twice a...More

My husband and I brought friends for the Tuesday rib special. We had eaten there before and enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We wanted to start with cocktails and an appetizer at the bar. The bartender was exceedingly rude to us and for...More

Authentic German Beer Hall right down to the tables and benches. Fun upbeat atmosphere. It's a rare place where young and old clank their steins and all join in together for a round of German songs. Great food, authentic German pretzels, brats, beer and live...More

The food here is good - though not as good as the actual Hofbrauhaus in Munich, but it's Milwaukee so I'll give them a break. We have been here twice. On our first visit the service was terrible on a Saturday evening. On the Saturday...More

I was town and came here after seeing it on Andrew Zimmern's food show on the Travel channel. Cool atmosphere reminded me of beer halls I visited in Germany. I had the sausage platter which was very filling. Friendly service.

If you have never been to a German beer hall this is a must. The service was so so. Our bar tender took awhile to get drink because he was chatting with the locals.

Stopped into the Old German beer hall for much needed food and a liter of beer. We chose the light beer and it was good for what we wanted but nothing special. The bar itself was very energetic and decorated perfectly for German theme. It...More

I have heard mixed reviews about this place, mostly on the "okay" side. After visiting myself, they proved reliable. The bartenders are extremely friendly, but some of the waitresses are absolutely rude and unaware of their own products (which are tasty and fairly portioned). I...More

The small portion of German potato salad and red cabbage was good, the Chops and pretzel were mediocre. The single server was a bit over worked.

Went with friends and had a great experience. My friend was just in Germany said the hall is just as you would find in Germany. My friends (one of which we have dubbed a beer snob) loved the German beers. We loved the large pretzel...More

Don't know but not sure you would want anything shipped, can get German beer, wine and usingers at stores.

I will be coming from Madison to Milwaukee for a wedding on the the 27 - 29th of May. My brother coming from Florida would love to go to an Old German Beer Hall to celebrate his German heritage. Questions - 1.Would we need reservations on Friday, the 27th in the early evening? 2. How far are you from the Hilton City Centre? 3.Most importantly - My brother uses a wheelchair at all times as he is a paraplegic. Would he be able to enter your restaurant and / or use the patio and have a nice table while remaining in his wheelchair the entire time? Thanks for the help.
