stopped there for a late lunch. the place was nearly empty. our server was way more interested in talking to another server than doing her job. the food, however, was enjoyable.

I'm so glad we stumbled on to this place! We were trying to check in to our hotel, but our rooms weren't ready, so we had some time to kill. We just so happened to notice people sitting outside when we went to our hotel, so...More

The moment you walk into Swingin' Door, you feel like you have stepped back in time. The gorgeous woodwork, pictures on the walls, and memorabilia all speak of a time when the building first went up in Milwaukee. You will notice that there are tons...More

We drove the peddle tavern there. Our order was ready when we arrived. The beet salad was fantastic as were the burgers we ordered. We ate outside on their patio. Great service and food!

We first walked into the bar wide and thought uh oh then saw the small restaurant side. Nothing fancy here here but good and home style, nothing pretentious about it. I had the grilled tuna sigh grilled beet salad which was excellent. There was a...More

We have been visiting Milwaukee establishments with history; especially the prohibition era speakeasy. This is one of those places. Old bar historic building. Good cocktails. Not too adventurous with the food but the wedge salad I had was large and the mussels exceeded expectations. My...More

The staff was very friendly and the service was great. It's a small place with unique decor. Highly recommend the Manmosa. A few minor things, such as not getting the type of cheese or bread correct that we ordered, but still tasted amazing.

Always a warm welcome and a cold beverage. Swingin" Door has an old school vibe, think 3 martini lunch. The suits are gone and nobody gets hammered at lunch anymore but the feeling is still here. Great staff, good menu and always very accommodating. Get...More

Walk-in only. Wait times may vary based on the number of people in your party. Smaller groups turn over more quickly. I think the others here answered excellently. Thanks for the question and thanks for the answers!
